Patent number: 11570399Abstract: A tap includes an input configured to be connected to a line. The tap also includes a first signal conditioning circuit having a first signal conditioning effect on downstream signals, upstream signals, or both. The tap also includes a second signal conditioning circuit having a second signal conditioning effect on the downstream signals, the upstream signals, or both. The second signal condition effect is different than the first signal conditioning effect. The tap also includes one or more subscriber ports configured to be connected to a subscriber premises. The tap also includes a path-selection device connected to the input, the first signal conditioning circuit, and the second signal conditioning circuit. The path-selection device is configured to selectably route the downstream signals from the input, through the first and second signal conditioning circuits, to the one or more subscriber ports.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2020Date of Patent: January 31, 2023Assignee: PPC BROADBAND, INC.Inventors: Douglas Jones, David A. Patent number: 10616527Abstract: A cable television (CATV) entry adapter includes an input port configured to connect to a CATV network, a first output port, a second output port, a first splitter connected to the first output port, and a second splitter connected to the second output port. The first splitter and the second splitter are configured to connect to subscriber devices at a subscriber premises. The entry adapter is configured to transmit signals in a multimedia over coax alliance (MoCA) bandwidth but not signals in a CATV bandwidth to the subscriber devices that are configured to be connected to the first splitter. The entry adapter is configured to transmit the signals in the MoCA bandwidth and the signals in the CATV bandwidth to the subscriber devices that are configured to be connected to the second splitter.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2018Date of Patent: April 7, 2020Assignee: PPC BROADBAND, INC.Inventors: Erdogan Alkan, André Martineau

Patent number: 5536392Abstract: In fluid catalytic cracking of oils, the feedstock oil is atomized so that its average particle size relative to the average catalyst particle size is such that most oil particles contacting a catalyst particle will form a film having a thickness substantially less than the boundary layer thickness of the thermal conduction interface between the feedstock oil and the catalyst. A nozzle suitable for producing such atomisation is disclosed. To compensate for reduced formation of coke from the feedstock, and permit riser temperatures to be maintained without overcracking, decant oil or other oil residues containing uncrackable hydrocarbons may be added to the feedstock so as to obtain gasoline fractions having increased octane numbers.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1993Date of Patent: July 16, 1996Inventor: Andre Martineau
