  • Publication number: 20070001025
Abstract: A diffuser for an air freshener product includes a casing having front and rear casing portions fastened together. A neck opening is formed inside said casing into which a neck of an air freshener reservoir is secured. A wick extends from the neck of the air freshener reservoir into the interior of the casing. The casing has openings in the front and back through which air flows. An air flow control element is provided in the casing to permit a user to change the air flow to the wick and thereby vary the air freshener product dispersed into the air. The air flow control element has a knob extending from the casing that is operable by the user. The rear portion of the casing has a fastener to which is attached a clip having two extended flexible arms that engage into a vent grill of an air conditioner system of a vehicle. The clip is securable in the fastener at positions oriented 90 degrees from one another to enable the clip to be fastened to vertically or horizontally oriented air conditioner grill slats.

  • Publication number: 20060202050
Abstract: The device for diffusing volatile substances comprises two containers (1, 2) to hold respective liquids with respective volatile substances. Each container has at least one aperture closed by a cap (12, 22). The device is configured so that it can be located on a supporting surface with the containers (1, 2) vertically confronting, so that one of the containers is selectively in an upper position or in a lower position with respect to the other container. The container which is in the upper position emanates the volatile substance which it contains, and the other one does not emanate the volatile substance which it contains.

  • Patent number: 7106956
Abstract: The device comprises conventionally a plug (2) for the electrical supply of a heater element (14) to bring about the heating and evaporation, by way of a flat wick (10), of an active substance contained in a main receptacle (5). The novelty lies in the fact that said container (5) is heat-formed and defines a triangular configuration reservoir (6) with a flat extension (7) that accommodates the flat “Y”-shaped wick (10) in which the ends of its divergent arms (11) are engaged in recesses (9) in the mouth of the active substance reservoir (6), said wick (10) being pressed by an impermeable strip (12) which is heat-sealed to the body of the reservoir (6), so that the heater element (14) positioned facing the front end of the extension (7) brings about the warming of the wick (10) and the corresponding evaporation of the active substance, which will issue by way of a hole (16) in the impermeable strip (12) to be diffused in the environment.

  • Publication number: 20060193611
Abstract: It is of the type of those which are connected to the electric mains by means of a plug (1), incorporates a single container (6) equipped with a body of two or more independent receptacles (8) which hold different liquid fragrances in which respective wicks (2) are immersed and a lid (9) which closes the body (7) and renders the receptacles (8) independent. The lid (9) comes with openings (10) in correspondence with the positions of the wicks (2) for the egress and vaporization of the fragrance by actuation of one or more resistance elements (3), located in opposition to said openings (10), by means of a manual pushbutton (4) or automatically in accordance with a pre-established program, diffusing the fragrances in a sequential or combined manner during predetermined intervals of time.

  • Patent number: 7095953
Abstract: The device comprises a container (1) of active substance in liquid form, which is sealed by means of a permeable membrane (3) which lets the active substance vapour pass and prevents the passage of liquid, being completed with a porous support (5) on the inner face of the membrane (3), so as to take the active substance to the centre of the membrane (3), this being warmed by a heater element (9) with pins (10) which are coupled directly onto the pins (8) of a socket plug (7), via which the device is powered, so that the evaporation of the active substance takes place by warming and it issues to the exterior by ways of slots (12) provided in a housing (11) which joins the container (1) to the socket plug (7). The assembly forms a disposable device, although the container (1) can be embodied so that it is interchangeable.

  • Patent number: 7076160
Abstract: The indicator is a non-electric indicator and is based on a thermochromic material which is applied on a diffuser or thermodiffuser device of volatile substances (1), so that when heating of the latter takes place to evaporate the volatile substance contained in a reservoir associated with said device (1), when a determined temperature is reached the indicator, constituted by a plastic insert (4) with thermochromic pigments, changes colour and indicates that the diffuser device (1) is in diffusion conditions. The colour change product can be constituted by the combination of some thermochromic and normal paints applied on the external surface of the device, so that when a determined temperature is reached the thermochromic paint changes colour and originates an indication of the device being in diffusion conditions.

  • Patent number: 7070172
Abstract: The present invention is related to devices for evaporating volatile substances in a closed environment, without the use of electric power, heating elements or absorption wicks, for the purpose of simplifying and maximally reducing the cost of the device, but at the same time maintaining its efficacy and also allowing the user to be able to adjust at will the degree of evaporation of said product. For that purpose, the evaporator device uses a vapor permeable membrane as the element responsible for causing the evaporation of the product to be evaporated. The device is especially intended to be used with the cooperation of an air current with a suitable temperature enhancing the evaporation and diffusion of the volatile substance, such as the ventilation air outlet of a vehicle, for example. The volatile substance consists in an air-freshening product, insecticide or the like. The invention is also related to a method for the evaporation of volatile substances through a membrane.

  • Publication number: 20060131443
Abstract: It relates to an evaporator device of those which are used to diffuse fragrances, insecticides or other substances which are held in a recipient (1) in the form of two immiscible liquids. It comprises two wicks (2, 2?) which extend from the interior of the recipient (1) in contact with the liquid or the liquids to the exterior where the evaporation area thereof is located, and a stopper cover (3) which closes the recipient (1) and which is traversed by the wicks (2, 2?). One of the wicks (2) has an impermeable layer (4) which extends from its lower extremity to the stopper cover (3) of the recipient (1) preventing contact with one of the liquids and enabling the ingress of the other liquid into the wick (2) only through its lower extremity, thereby allowing the independent egress of each liquid through each wick (2, 2?).

  • Publication number: 20060120701
Abstract: Incorporates a device for active substances (3) which has a wick (6) and a first heating resistor (8) for operating the diffuser on normal system. It also has a single button (12) connected through an electronic circuit (10) to an additional second heating resistor (9) located in the same channel and after the first heating resistor (8) in the vicinity of the wick (6). Activation of the button (12) determines the switching on of the second heating resistor (9) and can also activate at the same time a fan (4) or even based on a fan speed (4) increase the same, moving from normal operating mode to boost mode in which a substantial and instant increase in evaporation and diffusion of the active substances is produced.

  • Publication number: 20060081721
Abstract: The invention relates to a diffuser of multiple volatile substances (air freshener liquid, odour absorption formulae, bactericide active substances, insecticides, etc.) comprising two or more containers (2, 2?) placed with a symmetrical or approximately symmetrical arrangement about a central body (1) to which they are joined by corresponding supports (3, 3?) that constitute said central body (1). Each container (2, 2?) holding the air freshener liquid or the desired formulation is closed by an active substance diffuser body (4) that also acts as a stopper and prevents dripping. When the device is at rest only one of the containers is diffusing. To change the fragrance, simply turn the device automatically or manually so that the container that was emanating is in the opposite position with respect to the other container, which will then diffuse its active substance, its evaporation being regulated individually or globally.
