Abstract: The rolling mill stand comprises a bending device and a shifting device for the rolling rolls. The housing supports the upper backing and work rolls, and the lower backing and work roll and comprises the lower bending block, the upper bending block, the chock of the upper work roll, the chock of the lower work roll, the axial shifting device of the upper work roll, the axial shifting device of the lower work roll. The chock of the lower work roll is coupled with the lower bending block to transmit a bending load on the lower work roll. The upper bending block transmits a bending load on the upper work roll by means of the action of actuators. The bending block comprises a slide with a T-section which slides in the guide and a chock of the upper backing roll, whereby the upper bending block, instead of being a single piece, is formed by two different and separate structural components.

The positioning device comprises a support body on which the brush is installed, a pivoting member associated to the support body and around which the support body is selectively rotatable, an actuation member mounted on a support pin and associated to the support body in order to move it between an “inactive” position, in which the brush is not in contact with said rolling roll, and an “operating” position, in which the brush is in contact with the rolling roll.

Abstract: A rolling stand with a bending and shifting device for rolling rolls with two lower blocks fixed to the housing and carrying a lower chock, two upper blocks connected to an upper chock, a shifting device for the upper roll connected to the upper chock via a sliding coupling, a shifting device for the lower working roll connected to the lower chock via a sliding coupling. The lower chock is coupled to the blocks via a sliding coupling which allows the chock to be moved in a vertical direction to generate a bending of the lower roll via actuators. The two upper blocks are vertically coupled with the housing to allow the upper roll to be bent. The shifting movement of the upper roll is achieved via a sliding coupling between the upper chock and the two upper blocks, and may be carried out under load when rolling operations occur.
