  • Publication number: 20210215710
Abstract: Provided are methods of selecting a patient and/or treating a patient afflicted with high-grade serous epithelial that comprises upregulation of CDX2 and for autophagy inhibitor treatment. For example, the method of selecting a patient afflicted with a cancer likely to benefit from an autophagy inhibitor treatment, includes obtaining a biological sample; testing the biological sample for upregulated CDX2; and selecting the patient having a upregulated CDX2, as likely to benefit from and/or for treatment with the autophagy inhibitor treatment. Also provided are methods involving mutational status of p53.

  • Publication number: 20140038908
Abstract: The invention relates to polypeptides and polynucleotides associated with trophoblast cell death, differentiation, invasion, and/or cell fusion and turnover, and uses of same in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring regulation of trophoblast cell death, differentiation, invasion, and/or cell fusion and turnover. In particular aspects, diagnostic methods are disclosed for evaluating conditions such as preeclampsia utilizing matador polypeptides and polynucleotides encoding same.

  • Publication number: 20090275502
Abstract: The invention relates to compositions and methods for enhancing the developmental potential of oocytes or preimplantation embryos by modulating mitochondrial-associated proteins and/or genomic integrity modifier proteins in the oocytes or preimplantation embryos. In one aspect of the invention, the levels of one or more mitochondrial-associated proteins and/or genomic integrity modifier proteins are increased, in particular by introducing the mitochondrial-associated proteins and/or genomic integrity modifier proteins into the oocytes or preimplantation embryos. Oocytes may be fertilized to obtain a zygote with increased levels of one or more mitochondrial-associated proteins and/or genomic integrity modifier proteins. The methods and compositions may be used to improve in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer methods, and nuclear transfer techniques.
