  • Patent number: 11994185
Abstract: Provided is a brake device for braking a rotational movement of a shaft about the longitudinal axis, wherein the shaft is mounted so as to be rotatable about the longitudinal axis in a direction of rotation and in a counter direction which opposes the direction of rotation. Brake devices typically use constant and relatively high braking torques, to ensure a controlled movement of a movement portion, braked by the brake device, in every situation. However, this increases the energy consumption for a movement of the movement portion, and the wear of the brake device. A brake device equipped with a setting device for mutually opposing setting of a braking torque on the shaft during rotation of the shaft in the direction of rotation, and a counter braking torque during rotation of the shaft in the counter direction is provided. Also provided is a method for controlling a brake device.

  • Publication number: 20230249234
Abstract: A method and a corresponding computer program product calculate a pass schedule for a stable rolling process when rolling metal strip in a rolling mill. The offset here is varied until the calculated target horizontal force satisfies a predefined limit criterion. The satisfaction of the limit criterion means that the set of rolls and the rolling process are stable. For cases in which a sole iteration of the offset of the working roll does not result in the limit criterion being satisfied, the present invention provides that the draws on the material to be rolled are then changed on the feed side and/or on the outlet side of the rolling stand with constant offset until the calculated target horizontal force satisfies the limit criterion.

  • Patent number: 10487898
Abstract: A rotary drive device includes a housing element, a drive shaft and a driven shaft, both rotatably mounted in the housing element, a transmission device that transmits torque from the drive shaft to the driven shaft, and a braking device configured to counteract rotation of the drive shaft. The braking device includes a drive shaft input element, a braking element connected to the housing element for conjoint rotation, and a coupling element adjustable with respect to the input element. A braking force exerted by the braking device is greater when the coupling element is located in a first position than when located in a second position, and the coupling element assigned to the driven shaft so that adjustment from the first position to the second position is triggered by exceeding a threshold value of the difference in torque between the drive shaft and the driven shaft.

  • Patent number: 10208844
Abstract: A drive device has a spindle drive having a threaded spindle and a spindle nut arranged on the threaded spindle. The spindle drive is configured to drive a first component element and a second component element so as to be axially movable relative to one another. The spindle drive is reversibly rotatably drivable around an axis of rotation extending coaxial to the threaded spindle by a rotatably driven driveshaft arranged in a housing so as to be fixed with respect to rotation. A brake device prevents axially relative movement of the first component element and second component element relative to one another through axial application of force to the first component element and/or second component element.
