  • Publication number: 20130338492
Abstract: A method of measuring the relative position of a bone implant within a bone in a patient to detect movement between the implant and bone is provided, wherein one or more radiopaque bone markers have been implanted into the bone through a cannulated implant within the bone and one or more radiopaque implant markers have been implanted into the implant. The method comprises: i) determining a first relative position of the bone marker to the implant marker under a first parameter; and ii) determining a second relative position of the bone marker to the implant marker under a second parameter, wherein a change in the position of the bone marker relative to the implant marker from the first relative position to the second relative position is indicative of movement of either the implant or the bone.

  • Publication number: 20130197648
Abstract: The invention relates to an implant device, comprising an actuating instrument (110) and a height-adjustable implant (10) having a substantially U-shaped inner basket (11) and a U-shaped outer basket (60), wherein the inner basket (11) of the implant (10) is embraced by the outer basket (60) and telescopically guided, and the inner basket (11) and outer basket (60) are equally aligned, and wherein the limb (12, 13) of the inner basket (11) and the limb (61, 62) of the outer basket (60) are aligned so that a substantially continuous lateral opening (80) results, and the inner (11) and outer (60) baskets can be fixed with respect to each other in a predetermined end position, and wherein vertebral support surfaces are provided on the end faces (18, 63) of the baskets (11, 60), wherein the actuating instrument (110) has a fixation rod (111) and an expansion mechanism with sliding elements (122), and the inner basket (11) and fixation rod (111) have corresponding elements (26, 112), by means of which a detachable

  • Patent number: 8242652
Abstract: A coupling device for the transmission of torque. The coupling device includes a drivable rotor part, an output shaft rotatably connected with an armature part, a hysteresis part disposed on the armature part, permanent magnets configured to generate a magnetic field through which magnetic field a torque can be transmitted from the rotor part to the armature part, a stator part in which an electromagnet is disposed, the electromagnet being configured to induce a magnetic flux in the rotor part so as to adjust a torque from the rotor part to the armature part, and a synchronous coupling disposed between the stator part and the armature part.

  • Publication number: 20060118431
Abstract: So that on ships a manual transport of munitions containers is possible with security in narrow space conditions from a munitions supply to a gun, the munitions container, as a carrying element includes a band which at one end is permanently connected with the munitions container and which at its other end for an adjustment to a variable and useful for transport free band length is detentably insertable into a several detent positions of the munitions container. The band in the transport position forms a loop which allows for transport on backs. In a rest position, for example in the storage position, the band takes on a position of being integrated into the container.
