  • Publication number: 20080246228
Abstract: According to the invention, a sealing disc (16) serves to seal off a fuel injector with respect to an engine block of an internal combustion engine. Said sealing disc (16) comprises an inner opening (24) and a captive securing means (28) for captive retention on the fuel injector. It is proposed according to the invention that the sealing disc (16) has, overall, at least one support layer (30) and at least two sealing layers (32, 34) arranged to each side of the support layer (30), wherein the support layer (30) is made from a stiffer material than the sealing layers (32, 34), and that the captive securing means comprises, at an edge of the inner opening, at least one radially inwardly extending lug-like projection (28).

  • Patent number: 6896198
Abstract: An injector, especially for common rail injection systems of Diesel engines, has a nozzle needle, a control piston for actuating the nozzle needle, a valve that actuates the control piston and that is triggered by via an outlet throttle and an inlet throttle, and a hydraulic stop for the control piston, such that the flow from the inlet throttle to the outlet throttle at the narrowest cross section can additionally be throttled. The control piston is embodied conically on its offset top side oriented toward the outlet throttle or the inlet throttle.

  • Patent number: 6874706
Abstract: A solenoid valve for a fuel injector for injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine having an injector body which includes an electromagnet. An armature group of the solenoid valve may be actuated by this electromagnet to relieve the pressure in a control chamber, so that a nozzle needle/tappet assembly in the injector body implements an opening/closing movement. The armature group includes a first and a second armature part. The first armature part and the second armature part are joined to one another by an insert-and-twist connection, one of the armature parts being enclosed by an armature guide which includes anti-rotation elements.

  • Publication number: 20040026645
Abstract: The present invention relates to a solenoid valve for a fuel injector for injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine having an injector body (1) which includes an electromagnet (19). An armature group of the solenoid valve (18) may be actuated by this electromagnet (19) to relieve the pressure in a control chamber (3), so that a nozzle needle/tappet assembly (2) in the injector body (1) implements an opening/closing movement. The armature group includes a first and a second armature part. The first armature part (30, 45.2) and the second armature part (36, 45.1) are joined to one another by an insert-and-twist connection (31, 38; 47), one of the armature parts (30, 45.2; 36, 45.1) being enclosed by an armature guide (41) which includes anti-rotation elements (42, 43, 52).

  • Publication number: 20030145833
Abstract: A device for fastening a fuel injector in the cylinder head of an internal combustion engine includes a fuel injector having the diameter d0, a fastening screw screwed into the cylinder head, and a forklike clamping pad, penetrated by this fastening screw, with two tines of length l2 and spacing d2. The shaft of the fuel injector narrows in the direction of the injection nozzle to a diameter d1, and the narrowed shaft is provided at one point with opposed extensions; the width l1 at this point does not exceed the original diameter d0 of the fuel injector.
