    Abstract: A fastening device fastens a lighting assembly in an elongate rail profile open on one longitudinal side. The fastening device is set up to be mechanically coupled to the lighting assembly and has a body through which the lighting assembly can be overlapped in sections from a rear side area of the same, which is facing away from a light output side of the lighting assembly. The fastening device has latching elements which are formed to engage behind an edge or undercut running along the rail profile in a latching manner. The fastening device has an actuating element that, when the fastening device is holding the lighting assembly inserted into the rail profile in this position, can be actuated by an operator from the open longitudinal side in order to move each of the latching elements into a release position.

    Abstract: An adapter for use in a track lighting system is designed to be inserted into a track. The track has an electrical conductor means with conductors, the adapter has contact elements, and when the adapter is in an inserted state, contact can be made with the conductors by means of the contact elements. The contact elements can be moved into a contacting position, in which they protrude from the adapter so that they can be connected to the conductors, and into a non-contacting position, in which the adapter can be retracted into or removed from the track. The movement of the contact elements between the contacting position and the non-contacting position can be brought about by an operator by means of a moveably arranged actuating element of the adapter.

In some embodiments, fixtures access electrical power through electrified railings recessed within a relatively narrow power slot of the track. Primary mechanical support of the fixture weight is optionally provided from a magnetic mounting surface surrounding the power slot. The track cross-section optionally provides mounting surface area on mounting wings, allowing a narrower slot housing. Optionally, secondary mechanical support provided within the slot comprises a deployable anchoring element which laterally expands into a receiving area. Optionally, deployment comprises rotation of the anchoring element. The anchoring element, in some embodiments, acts as a secondary mechanical support, preventing, for example, accidental detachment of the fixture from the slot, without preventing repositioning movements of the fixture along the slot, even when fully deployed.
