  • Publication number: 20120111499
Abstract: The invention relates to hybrid materials comprising polymers which envelop nanoscale, superparamagnetic, ferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic or paramagnetic powders, to a process for producing these materials and to their use.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 17, 2012
    Publication date: May 10, 2012
    Applicant: EVONIK DEGUSSA GmbH
Inventors: Sebastian ROOS, Gerd Löhden, Jan Hendrik Schattka, Manfred Braum, Markus Pridöhl, Guido Zimmermann, Andreas Hüther
  • Patent number: 8025756
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of bonding different materials of construction using hybrid materials comprising nanoscale, superparamagnetic, ferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic or paramagnetic powders enveloped or in part not enveloped by poly(meth)acrylates, and to their use.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 21, 2006
Date of Patent: September 27, 2011
    Assignee: Evonik Degussa GmbH
Inventors: Sebastian Roos, Gerd Loehden, Jan Hendrik Schattka, Manfred Braum, Markus Pridoehl, Guido Zimmermann, Andreas Huether
  • Patent number: 8013038
Abstract: The object of the invention is a method for the dispersion of reactive monomers, wherein a monomer emulsion (8) is fed at a first pressure through a dispersion jet (7) and a second dispersion (9) is fed laterally behind the dispersion jet at a second pressure that is less than the first pressure, both the emulsion and the dispersion being dispersed with one another in a mixing chamber. Using the method, nanoparticle-laden monomer emulsions may be produced that, after polymerization, produce polymer-coated nanoparticles.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 20, 2008
Date of Patent: September 6, 2011
    Assignee: Evonik Degussa GmbH
Inventors: Andreas Huether, Sebastian Roos, Oliver Ruscitti, Heike Schuchmann, Karsten Koehler, Caroline Sauter, Freddy Aguilar
  • Patent number: 7997114
Abstract: A method includes providing a sheet having layers characterized by different softnesses, providing a die component having a leading surface that is generally concave, and causing the leading surface to puncture the sheet thereby to cut a part from the sheet. The method provides improved flatness of parts cut from sheets having layers of varying softness and prevents soft material from exiting the sheet because the peripheral edge of the leading surface applies maximum pressure to the sheet during the puncturing step.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 5, 2007
Date of Patent: August 16, 2011
    Assignee: Material Sciences Corporation
    Inventor: Andreas Hüther
  • Publication number: 20110034599
Abstract: The invention relates to a polymer mixture comprising a mixture of polymer A, comprising polymers with a functional group —NRH and (meth)acrylates and polymer B, comprising polymers having a functional group —NR—CH2OH and (meth)acrylates in dispersion in plasticizers or epoxy resins.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 9, 2009
