  • Patent number: 10395532
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a vehicle, in which a control center transmits at least one piece of information to a receiving device of the vehicle, based on the geographic position of the vehicle. The control center associates the at least one piece of information with a predefined region and publishes the at least one piece of information associated with the predefined region. The vehicle receives the at least one piece of information if a control device of the vehicle has subscribed to receive information which is associated with the predefined region. The invention further relates to a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9662996
Abstract: A method determines the remaining range of a motor vehicle which has an energy store for an electric motor drive which acts the wheels of the motor vehicle. Consumption values which describe the current consumption of the drive and of a secondary consumer are determined using a sensor. A drive prediction value which is assigned to the drive and describes the consumption over a predetermined distance is determined from the consumption values of the drive. A secondary consumption prediction value which is assigned to the secondary consumers and describes the consumption over a predetermined distance is determined separately from the consumption values of the secondary consumers, and the remaining range is determined for a distance which is to be travelled by the motor vehicle and is described by the route data, by taking into account the drive prediction value and the secondary consumption prediction value.

  • Patent number: 9564051
Abstract: In a method for operating a motor vehicle, data obtained from outside the motor vehicle, which indicate the existence of a hazardous situation, are transmitted to a receiving device. A warning concerning the hazardous situation is communicated to the user of the motor vehicle. In addition to the external vehicle data, data obtained from inside the vehicle, which indicate the existence of a hazardous situation, are evaluated. The warning is communicated to the user of the vehicle subject to the evaluation of the data obtained from outside the vehicle and the data obtained from inside the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9519875
Abstract: A method for determining an expected consumption value of a motor vehicle for a predetermined driving situation—includes detecting actual consumption values and storing these values upon each occurrence of the predetermined driving situation, and further estimating the expected consumption value on the basis of the stored consumption values. Furthermore, a check is made whether the expected consumption value satisfies a predetermined significance criterion. If this is the case, the expected consumption value is used for a range determination for the motor vehicle; if this is not the case, an estimated value for the expected consumption is determined and used for range determination for the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9440606
Abstract: A method for obtaining rule sets for a motor vehicle to be automated includes receiving with a stationary central server arrangement from each respective one of a plurality of other motor vehicles at least one item of activation information regarding a vehicle function activated in the respective motor vehicle in an actual situation encountered by the respective motor vehicle, and a respective data set including vehicle data determined by the respective motor vehicle in the respective actual situation; generating with the centralized server rule sets on the basis of the respective data set and the at least one item of activation information, wherein each rule set defines an activation condition and a vehicle function to be activated when the activation condition is satisfied; and transmitting the rule sets to the motor vehicle to be automated.
