  • Patent number: 11713849
Abstract: A method monitors a pressure tank system of a stationary vehicle. The method detects a wake-up situation by use of sensor data of a main sensor of the vehicle. Furthermore, in reaction to the detection of a wake-up situation, the method activates a further resource for detecting and/or for evaluating sensor data with regard to the pressure tank system. Moreover, the method determines, by use of the further resource, whether one or more protective measures are to be carried out in relation to the pressure tank system and/or the surroundings thereof.

  • Publication number: 20230213147
Abstract: A control unit for a pressure container system comprising at least one pressure container with a pressure container valve designed to conduct fuel from the pressure container into a removal line for supplying an energy converter. The control unit is designed to determine that a fueling procedure of the pressure container is occurring or has occurred. In response thereto, the control unit is additionally designed to cause the pressure container valve to open in a pulsed manner temporally prior to a removal request for fuel for operating the energy converter so that the pressure in the removal line approximates the pressure in the pressure container.

  • Publication number: 20230135470
Abstract: A refuelling assistance device that determines one of the following scenarios: (a) that consecutive refuelling operations of a first vehicle at corresponding different fuel stations have taken place without a communication link, and (b) that consecutive refuelling operations at a first fuel station for corresponding different vehicles have taken place without the communication link. In response to determining scenario (a), the control unit causes a communication module of the first vehicle to be checked for establishment of the communication link. • Publication number: 20230116856
Abstract: A method for at least partially compensating for a temperature-induced rise in pressure in a fuel-cell system includes providing a fuel-cell system that has an anode supply path that establishes a fluidic connection between a fuel-cell stack and at least one fuel-source, and an anode-side stack shut-off valve in the anode supply path, the anode-side stack shut-off valve prohibiting the supply of fuel to the fuel-cell stack from an anode section of the anode supply path. The fuel-cell system also has an excess-pressure valve in the anode section, the excess-pressure valve conducting fuel away out of the anode section if the pressure in the anode section exceeds a tripping pressure. In the shut-down state, the pressure in the anode section rises due to warming of the fuel. The anode-side stack shut-off valve is opened to relieve the pressure before the rising pressure in the anode section reaches the tripping pressure.

  • Patent number: 11541747
Abstract: A motor vehicle with a pressure vessel system includes at least a first pressure vessel arranged in a first region of the motor vehicle and at least one second pressure vessel arranged in a second region of the motor vehicle having a lower intrusion probability than the first region. Fuel is preferentially removed first primarily from the at least one first pressure vessel. When the lower limit of fuel level or fuel temperature is reached in the at least one first pressure vessel, fuel is removed from the at least one second pressure vessel. If the fuel supply rate from the at least one first pressure vessel is lower than an overall fuel supply rate for an energy converter, fuel is removed from the at least one second pressure vessel to meet the overall fuel supply rate needed by the energy converter.
