  • Patent number: 9889836
Abstract: An electromechanical braking device for a braking system including a master brake cylinder including an electric motor, an adjustable output rod, and a gear, the electric motor being connected to the output rod at least via the gear so that a power transmission path is present via which a motor output is at least partially transmittable to the output rod so that the output rod is adjustable, the electromechanical braking device including at least one elastic component situated within the power transmission path which is configured so that the at least one elastic component is not compressible below a control point of the electromechanical braking device, but during the occurrence of pressure peaks in the master brake cylinder which are above the control point of the electromechanical braking device, the at least one elastic component is compressible. Also described is a braking system for a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5717134
Abstract: An operating variable detected by at least two control units for actuating the brakes is distributed to a central control unit which identifies an error state in the area of the control unit in question when the operating variable in question deviates unacceptably from a reference value.

  • Patent number: 5615931
Abstract: At least one measurement device detects the wheel load or axle load of the vehicle on at least one wheel, and an electronic control unit produces control signals for the wheel brakes at least as a function of the braking demand from the driver and of the detected wheel load or axle load selecting from characteristic brake pressure profiles the profile prescribing the required brake pressure based on driver's braking demand and the load state of the vehicle determined from the load state of the wheel or of the axle, and controlling the brakes in accordance with this profile during the braking process.

  • Patent number: 5579235
Abstract: A process for monitoring several inductive rpm sensors includes superposing a direct current voltage on an alternating voltage signal from one rpm sensor in one rpm sensor circuit to form a combined voltage signal and monitoring a voltage level of the combined voltage signal at a monitoring point in the one rpm sensor circuit to detect a fault such as a break in a sensor feed line.

  • Patent number: 5299131
Abstract: Vehicle speed is measured during slip-free travel of the wheels and compared with the wheel speeds to determine correction values which correct for different wheel diameters. The correction values are used to continuously correct the wheel speeds.

  • Patent number: 5120114
Abstract: A brake system including an anti-skid apparatus with an electronic control unit for monitoring the grip of the vehicle tires on the road. It is also equipped with a yawing moment attenuator, controlled by the control unit, that in the event of highly varying coefficients of friction prevents an excessively great difference in brake pressure on the two sides of the vehicle. Tractor or towing vehicles driven without the trailer, especially semitrailer trucks, are difficult to control on road surfaces with variable grip, because of the major yawing and steering moments. The tractor or towing vehicle is therefore equipped according to the invention with a trailer detection unit, the signal of which is evaluatable in the control unit and can be fed as a control variable to the yawing moment attenuator. If the truck is driven without a trailer, the yawing moment attenuator can be controlled on the basis of this signal in such a way as to lessen the difference in brake pressure.
