  • Publication number: 20240095612
Abstract: The invention provides a computer-implemented method for determining predicted power generation of a renewable energy installation. The method includes receiving current power generation data indicative of a current power generation value for each of one or more neighbouring renewable energy installations, and determining, based on the received current power generation data, a current data map indicative of current power generation values across an area including the renewable energy installation and the one or more neighbouring renewable energy installations. The method includes retrieving a previous data map indicative of power generation values across the area at a previous time, and determining, based on the previous and current data maps, a future data map indicative of power generation values across the area at a future time, determining a predicted power generation value of the renewable energy installation at the future time based on the determined future data map.

  • Publication number: 20230222400
Abstract: A method of resource management for transferring resources from providers to consumers is described. The method comprises the following steps. Supply parameters for the providers and demand parameters for the consumers are established, and constraints on the allocation of the resources are also established, as is an optimisation function for determining matches between providers and consumers. The optimisation function is solved for the established constraints using a constraint-based problem solver to determine matches between providers and consumers. Resources are then transferred from providers to consumers according to the determined matches. A computing system adapted to perform this method is also described, along with a power distribution system including such a computing system.

  • Publication number: 20100146056
Abstract: A method is presented for searching for email messages that on a server computer. A request is received on the server computer to search for one or more email messages in one or more mailboxes on the server computer. Each of the one or more mailboxes includes a dumpster folder. The request includes search criteria including a parameter indicating whether the dumpster folder associated with a mailbox should be searched. The dumpster folder stores one or more email messages that have been deleted from a deleted items folder in the mailbox. One or more mailboxes that satisfy the search criteria in the request are identified. If the parameter indicates that the dumpster folder should be searched, the dumpster folder of each of the identified mailboxes that satisfy the search criteria is queried and any email messages in each dumpster folder that satisfy the search criteria are identified.

  • Patent number: 7457829
Abstract: The resynchronization of multiple copies of a database after a divergence in transaction history in provided. In an illustrative implementation, algorithms are provided for synchronizing multiple copies of a database upon the occurrence of a divergence in transaction history. A data environment is provided having a database and a copy. The database environment operating in a manner where the database records some transactions and the copy recording some later transactions, but neither having an up-to-date set of data or log of data changes. In operation, the database and its copy compare transaction log sequence numbers to discern the changes database and/or database copy pages. During resynchronization, the database and/or its copy sends page specific information about changes that have not been performed on each other respectively. In this manner, the data environment may be resynchronized with minimal data transmitted and without a requiring a complete restoration of the database.
