  • Publication number: 20110025492
Abstract: Utilizing an electronic means to assist in a sensory and situational awareness deficit setting is the prime function of the invention. With the advent of low voltage, miniature and very economical proximity sensing devices, opportunities to employ those devices to substitute or assist the human senses have resulted in the invention. Requiring only the sense of touch, a person will be alerted of the presence of inanimate and warm bodied objects while simultaneously tracking and conveying their distance. By applying the invention in settings experiencing various forms of visual impairment, the user will more safely traverse through obscure territories without collision into nearby objects. Applying various methods of proximity and motion detection will increase the reliability of the apparatus, with enhanced configurations able to distinguish between types of detected objects as well as increase precision in a range of environments.

  • Publication number: 20100176604
Abstract: The invention concerns mainly the utilization of gravity, more specifically the weight of a vehicle and the rotation of the wheels that support the vehicle during its motion to produce an electric current within the wheels to be utilized by the vehicle's electrical requirements. The power generation would exist at all times during the motion of the vehicle and could greatly increase the range of electric and electric hybrid vehicles, as well as increasing the MPG of combustion vehicles by reducing the mechanical power consumption of the power generator (alternator) currently utilized to recharge the vehicle's battery. A similarity in all existing terrestrial vehicles which use contact with a surface as the medium and method of transportation is the existence of the weight of the vehicle which forces a pressure against that surface during the mobilization of the vehicle. This downward force contributes as an additional friction working against the efficiency of the locomotion of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6612400
Abstract: The invention concerns an exhaust silencer arrangement with integrated bypass assembly and external actuator to control the position of the bypass assembly. For applications where a heightened loudness, or increased horsepower through the decrease of exhaust noise suppression is desired or required, but at temporary instances, the invention allows for real time electronic control over the loudness and horsepower potential of the internal combustion engine to which it is applied. The invention is comprised of the exhaust muffler with integrated bypass and silencer module, external electronic actuator, and the mechanical cable which transmits the mechanical output of the actuator to the bypass valve of the exhaust muffler assembly. The exhaust muffler is comprised of the housing which contains the bypass tube and valve assembly, silencer module, and inlet and outlet chambers which intersect the bypass assembly with the silencer module.
