    Abstract: Aspects of the present invention include systems and methods include unique solutions for providing secure, selectable access to one or more functional elements of a device. In embodiments, a tab-lock system with moveable tab-locks can be positioned to block or allow access to functional elements of a device. In embodiments, the tab-lock system is configured so that when a locking device, such as a common Kensington lock, is locked to the device, the tab-locks settings cannot be changed. Such systems may be used to control the ability of individuals to physically access the interfaces of the device. Thus, such systems help secure an electronic device against inadvertent or malicious actions.
