  • Patent number: 11920417
Abstract: An assembly of a setting tool in combination with a delivery tool for an adaptive support allows delivery of the adaptive support in a condition where it stores potential energy. Relative movement between a mandrel and a surrounding sleeve allows release of the adaptive support at a desired subterranean location. The relative movement to release the adaptive support comes from a setting tool that has a setting sleeve and a supporting connection to the mandrel of the delivery tool. The setting sleeve, when triggered to move by preferably an explosive charge, engages a piston rod assembly supported by the delivery tool mandrel for tandem movement to a mandrel travel stop. The tandem movement is regulated, preferably in the delivery tool, with regulation of fluid flow through a restriction to eliminate component failure due to high impact loads when the travel stop is engaged.

  • Patent number: 10926857
Abstract: A pressure bulkhead for an aircraft includes a wall assembly. The wall assembly includes a first wall section which extends in a direction nonparallel to a length of the aircraft. The wall assembly further includes a second wall section secured to the first wall section wherein the second wall section includes a curved shape. The curved shape includes a convex portion which extends further along the length of the aircraft in a direction toward the aft end of the aircraft than the first wall section. A method for assembling a pressure bulkhead is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20070207128
Abstract: A method of cell-based therapy for treating an autoimmune disease is disclosed. The method is directed at stimulating leukocytes and/or dendritic cells to interrupt autoimmunity in a host. The method provides a Fc? receptor-specific complex or a complex which results in the co-crosslinking of Fc?-chains for treating the leukocytes and/or dendritic cells which are in turn used to elicit an autoimmune interruption response in a subject with an autoimmune disease. The Fc? receptor-specific complex and/or complex which results in the co-crosslinking of Fc?-chains is used to treat a biological sample comprising leukocytes and/or dendritic cells from a patient, and upon reintroducing said biological sample to the patient, the pre-treated dendritic cells illicit an autoimmune interruption response in vivo.

  • Patent number: 6351877
Abstract: The crimper has a pair of feed rollers to supply fiber traveling therebetween. The feed rollers rotate at a first speed. A pair of outlet rollers receive fiber from the feed rollers and rotate at a second speed slower than the first speed. A pair of side walls sandwich the feed rollers and the outlet rollers. A pair of floating scrapers are supported by move with the feed rollers, the outlet rollers and the side walls. Fluid is supplied to and ejected from the scrapers such that a fluid bearing is created at least between the scrapers and the feed rollers. There are two pairs of outlet rollers with a belt rotating about each pair of outlet rollers. For each pair, a first of the outlet rollers is adjacent to the scraper and a second of the outlet rollers is displaced from the scraper. A space between the scrapers defines a crimping chamber. The first outlet rollers are moved toward and away from one another, thereby causing the crimping chamber to open and close.
