Patent number: 11942880Abstract: A power tool, such as a drilling power tool, configured to perform an easy hole start operation upon actuation of a trigger. When the trigger is actuated, the motor is driven at a low speed value. The motor speed is increased to a second speed value during a predetermined time threshold and then driven at the second speed value until the trigger is no longer actuated. In some embodiments, the easy hole start operation may be implemented by an easy hole start switch. In some embodiments, if the easy hole start operation persists for a time greater than a predetermined time threshold, then the motor will shut off.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2022Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: Milwaukee Electric Tool CorporationInventors: Woodrow W. Walker, Jonathan E. Schmitz, Andrew T. Medeiros-Nicholson, Bharat C. Nakum, Brittany Ann Sellnow

Publication number: 20220409234Abstract: A serial dilation system includes a plurality of serial dilators that can be advanced over each other so as to dilate anatomical soft tissue along a trajectory toward a target anatomical site. An access cannula can then be introduced over the serial dilators. The serial dilators can be coupled to each other, such that once the access cannula is in place, removal of one of the serial dilators from the access cannula causes all of the serial dilators to be removed from the access cannula.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 23, 2021Publication date: December 29, 2022Inventors: Alicia McDERMOTT, Paul S. MAGUIRE, Andrew E. MEDEIROS, Jessica INDYK, Phat LUU

Patent number: 9119676Abstract: Various methods and devices are provided for bone screw fixation. In one exemplary embodiment, the methods and devices provide a bone fixation device that includes a receiving head having a recess adapted to seat a spinal rod therein and a shank extending distally from the receiving head. An anti-rotation mechanism can be located distal of a distal end of the receiving head and around a proximal portion of the shank, and it can be configured to interact with bone to prevent rotation of at least a portion of the bone fixation device relative to the bone.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2012Date of Patent: September 1, 2015Assignee: DePuy Synthes Products, Inc.Inventors: Erin Daly, Charles M. Bartish, Jr., Jonathan Fanger, SeungKyu Daniel Kwak, Andrew E. Medeiros

Patent number: 7488092Abstract: The track fixture described has an accessory ring hingedly attached to the main portion of the track fixture luminaire. The hinge interposed between the accessory ring and the support ring or luminaire housing allows for both rotational and outward movement such that the accessory ring may be moved outward and away from the lamp and rotate about the support ring without interference between the accessory ring and the support ring or luminaire housing. The two movement hinge design is compact and allows for a clean outer appearance of the track fixture luminaire.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2005Date of Patent: February 10, 2009Assignee: Genlyte Thomas Group LLCInventors: Alejandro Mier-Langner, James E.
