  • Publication number: 20110067540
Abstract: Embodiments of a power table saw are described which have a frame structure configured to support a movable saw assembly. The table saw also includes a rip fence attached to the frame structure in a fixed position for contacting a work piece during a cutting operation by said table saw. Further, a table assembly is provided, having a top surface for supporting a work piece, a blade extendable through an opening in the top surface for cutting a work piece, and a motor mounted beneath the top surface for driving the blade. The table assembly is movably mounted on the frame structure so that the table assembly is adjustable, allowing adjustment of the distance between the blade and the rip fence.

  • Publication number: 20110061506
Abstract: A modular guard system for a power saw of the type which has a table top having an opening through which a rotatable saw blade can extend includes a riving knife mounted to the saw rearwardly of the blade and having first and second notches with openings facing away from each other. A blade guard assembly is releasably mounted on the riving knife and configured to cover the blade. The blade guard assembly includes a mounting portion configured to receive a top portion of the riving knife having the first and second notches and a release mechanism provided in the mounting portion and having a spring member for engaging the first notch and a latch member connected to the spring member for engaging the second notch. The latch member exerts a force on the spring member to cooperatively hold the first and second notches between the spring member and the latch member to retain the riving knife in the mounting portion.

  • Publication number: 20110048201
Abstract: A rip fence for a table saw including a front rail and a rear rail, the rip fence including a front clamping mechanism positioned adjacent to the front rail and including a locking tip, a pivotable activation plate and a handle, a rear clamping mechanism positioned adjacent to the rear rail, the activation plate being coupled to the rear clamping mechanism where the handle is movable between a release position and a locking position, and including a rolling member movable between an upper end and a lower end of the activation plate, wherein when the handle is moved from the release position to the locking position, the rolling member moves from the upper end to the lower end of the activation plate, causing the activation plate to move the rear clamping mechanism into engagement with the rear rail.

  • Publication number: 20110017041
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for a power table saw assembly that comprises a frame configured to retain a motor assembly for driving a rotatable blade, a table top assembly having a top surface with an opening through which a rotating blade can extend provided on the frame, and a base for supporting the frame thereon. A foldable extension table is pivotally connected to an axle fixedly provided in the base, for supporting a workpiece. The extension table is configured to be folded and pivoted about the axle to be stored within the base when the extension table is not in use. In one embodiment, the axle is provided in the rear of the base and generally perpendicular to the blade, so that the extension table can support a workpiece from the table top downstream of the blade. In another embodiment, the axle is provides on one side of the base and generally parallel to the blade, so that the extension table can support a workpiece that extends beyond the table top to one side of the blade.

  • Publication number: 20110011231
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for a table saw including a table top having a generally rectangular top surface with front, rear and opposing side surfaces and having a slot through which a saw blade can extend, a tubular sub-frame for supporting the table saw, the sub-frame having an outer periphery generally coextensive with the outer periphery of the table top, front and rear vertical metal panels having upper and lower transverse mounting portions interconnecting the sub-frame and the table top and left and right vertical side panels made of a composite material mounted on the sub-frame and extending generally between the front and rear metal panels.

  • Publication number: 20090129944
Abstract: A peristaltic pump is presented comprising a housing and a rotor assembly supported by the housing. An occlusion bed is slideably mounted in the housing. A door is pivotable about a shaft, which is supported by the housing. A pinion gear is coupled to the shaft and engages a rack on the occlusion bed. Rotation of the shaft causes the occlusion bed to slide toward or away from the rotor assembly. An open portion of a tube retaining system is associated with the housing and a clamping portion of the tube retaining system is associated with the door. The open portion and the clamping portion of the tube retaining system are configured to secure flexible tubing therebetween when the door is in a closed position.
