    Abstract: A system and method for changing an input source for an electronic device capable of receiving a signal from a plurality of external devices are described. In some implementations, the system and method determines if an external electronic device is active. If an external electronic device is active, then a determination is made as to whether an input source for the electronic device is set to the active external electronic device. The input source for the electronic device may be set to the active external electronic device if a change to the input source is required. In some implementations, the electronic device is powered on or woken, if required, after determining that an external electronic device is active.
