  • Publication number: 20230346451
Abstract: A system for performing a medical procedure in the intestine of a patient comprises a catheter for insertion into the intestine, a console, and a connector configured to operably attach the catheter to the console. The catheter comprises a shaft including a distal portion, and a functional assembly positioned on the distal portion of the shaft. The functional assembly is configured to receive fluid. The console comprises: a fluid reservoir configured to supply the fluid, a first syringe pump assembly configured to deliver the fluid to the functional assembly, a second syringe pump assembly configured to deliver the fluid to the functional assembly, a fluid heater configured to heat the fluid, and a waste fluid reservoir configured to receive the fluid. The system is configured to treat target tissue of the intestine of the patient. Methods of treating target tissue are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20230165648
Abstract: Provided are systems for performing a medical procedure in the intestine of a patient. The system comprises an elongate device and a console. The elongate device comprises a proximal portion, a middle portion, and a distal portion. The elongate device further comprises a functional assembly positioned on the distal portion, the functional assembly being configured to treat and/or diagnose target tissue. The console comprises a human interface device and a controller. The console is configured to robotically manipulate one or more portions of the elongate device, and/or the functional assembly.

  • Publication number: 20200155217
Abstract: A system for ablating surface tissue of a patient is provided. The system includes a console and an ablation catheter fluidly attached to the console. The console includes an ablative fluid supply, a neutralizing fluid supply, an injectate fluid supply, a pump assembly, and a vacuum supply. The ablation catheter includes an expandable functional assembly, a tissue expansion subsystem for expanding sub-surface tissue in the intestine of the patient, and a tissue ablation subsystem for ablating surface tissue in the intestine of the patient. Methods of ablating surface tissue are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10610388
Abstract: A stent delivery system including an elongate shaft of a medical device, a stent selectively coupled to a distal portion of the elongate shaft, and a coupling mechanism for selectively coupling the stent to the elongate shaft by inserting a tab on one of the stent or the elongate shaft into an opening in the other of the stent or the elongate shaft. The tab may be deflected from a first position to a second position to disengage the tab from the opening.

  • Publication number: 20120172964
Abstract: A stent loading and delivery system, the delivery system comprising an inner elongate tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end, an intermediate elongate tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end in sliding relationship to said inner elongate tubular member and an external elongate tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end in sliding relationship to said intermediate elongate tubular member, said intermediate elongate tubular member comprising a stop mechanism at its proximal end, wherein the stop mechanism prevents the external elongate tubular member from being slid past the stop mechanism when the external elongate tubular member is slid in a proximal direction.

  • Publication number: 20120150070
Abstract: A device for performing multiple medical procedures comprises a needle extending from a proximal end which remains external to a body during use to a sharpened distal end configured for insertion to a target site within a body via a body lumen. A sheath is slidably receivable over the needle, the sheath extending from a proximal end which remains external to the body during use to a distal end. A stent is slidably received over the sheath, the stent including an anchoring mechanism configured for anchoring in a desired position within the body lumen.

  • Publication number: 20110077622
Abstract: A drainage stent delivery system including an elongate shaft of a medial device, a drainage catheter or stent, and a locking mechanism for selectively coupling the drainage stent to the elongate shaft. The drainage stent is selectively coupled to a distal portion of the elongate shaft such that the proximal end of the stent is positioned proximal of the distal end of the elongate shaft. The locking mechanism includes an engaging feature of the elongate shaft which engages a portion of the stent such that the stent may be selectively coupled to the elongate shaft through rotational motion of the elongate shaft relative to the stent. In some instances, the engaging feature of the elongate shaft may be a tab which extends into an opening of the stent.
