Patent number: 10986396Abstract: Systems and methods are described for enabling a user to bias the type of media content made available to a user account through a localized content dashboard. In one implementation, a method for adjusting media content availability associated with a user account configured to receive media content from a server system over a network, includes displaying on a content playback system a localized content dashboard, including: a summary of attributes of media content accessed by the user account, where the summary of the attributes is based on metadata associated with the accessed media content; and controls for biasing the attributes of media content delivered to the user account. The content playback system receives data corresponding to user input actuating one of the controls; and in response to receiving the data, transmits over the network to the server system data associated with the media content attribute biased by the user input.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2015Date of Patent: April 20, 2021Assignee: Disney Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: Edward Drake, Andrew J. Patent number: 10671670Abstract: Systems and methods for using graph databases to make digital content recommendations are described. A graph database may be associated with tagged digital content. The graph database may include a node for each content tag and edges identifying a relationship between nodes. When a user accesses or searches a digital content item, the graph database may be traversed to identify and present related content recommendations to the user based on the traversed nodes. Node graph traversal may initiate from a root node associated with a tag of content item being presented to a user. Nodes may be searched based on their proximity to the root node as determined by edge connections of the graph. Initially searched nodes may include nodes in the graph database directly connected by edges to the root node. Subsequently searched nodes may include nodes one edge connected removed from the root node, and so forth.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2017Date of Patent: June 2, 2020Assignee: Disney Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: Andrew J. Wright, Benjamin F. Havey

Patent number: 7892879Abstract: This invention relates to the manufacture of Cadmium Mercury Telluride (CMT) on patterned silicon, especially to growth of CMT on silicon substrates bearing integrated circuitry. The method of the invention involves growing CMT in selected growth windows on the silicon substrate by first growing one or more buffer layers by MBE and then growing the CMT by MOVPE. The growth windows may be defined by masking the area outside of the growth windows. Growth within the growth windows is crystalline whereas any growth outside the growth windows is polycrystalline and can be removed by etching. The invention offers a method of growing CMT structures directly on integrated circuits removing the need for hybridisation.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2005Date of Patent: February 22, 2011Assignee: Qinetiq LimitedInventors: Louise Buckle, John W Cairns, Jean Giess, Neil T Gordon, Andrew Graham, Janet E Hails, David J Hall, Colin J Hollier, Graham J Pryce, Andrew J Wright

The tubing string rotator includes a housing having a first portion and a second portion. At least the second portion of the housing is adapted to be operatively connected to the end of a length of the tubing string such that rotational torque applied to the tubing string through the operation of the pump is transferred to the second portion of the housing. The rotator further includes means to permit the controlled rotation of the second portion, together with the tubing string connected thereto, relative to the first portion of the housing when the ability of the first portion to rotate is retarded or eliminated, and when rotational torque is supplied to the tubing string through the operation of the pump.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2004Date of Patent: December 11, 2007Assignee: GADU, Inc.Inventors: Andrew J. Patent number: 7254748Abstract: A CAM and method for operating a CAM are presented. Copies of a CAM database are duplicated and placed in a first set of CAM locations and a second set of CAM locations. An error detector is used to determine false matches in the case of soft errors within the entries producing those false matches. While the entries producing a match should have the same index location, errors might cause those match lines to have an offset. If so, the present CAM, through use of duplicative sets of CAM locations, will detect the offset and thereafter the values in each index location that produces a match, along with the corresponding parity or error detection encoding bit(s). If the parity or error detection encoding bit(s) indicate an error in a particular entry, then that error is located and the corresponding entry at the same index within the other, duplicative set of CAM locations is copied into the that erroneous entry.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 2003Date of Patent: August 7, 2007Assignee: NetLogic Microsystems, Inc.Inventors: Andrew J. Patent number: 6683468Abstract: A ball grid array (BGA) package is disclosed. An interconnect structure is formed on a substrate that electrically connects the electrical device to be housed in the BGA package to the solder balls thereon. Contact pads are formed over the top surface of the substrate. These contact pads electrically connect to the interconnect structure. A layer of solder mask is formed over the substrate that includes openings that overlie the contact pads. The BGA is then completed using conventional process steps. Thereby, a BGA package is formed that includes contact pads disposed such that the contact pads are accessible from the top of the BGA package, making these contact pads easily accessible. Thus, when the BGA is attached to a circuit board, connection to circuits of the electrical device is obtainable.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2001Date of Patent: January 27, 2004Assignee: Cypress Semiconductor CorporationInventors: Brenor L. Patent number: 6640892Abstract: A tubing string rotator is disclosed that comprises an outer housing, a gear mandrel, and a tubing string hanger. The outer housing has an internal bore extending from its upper to its lower. The gear mandrel is received and supported within the bore of the outer housing. The gear mandrel has an internal bore extending from its upper to its lower end. The tubing string hanger has a series of circumferentially positioned generally downwardly oriented teeth and is receivable and suspendable within the internal bore of the gear mandrel such that the teeth on the tubing string hanger engage a series of generally upwardly oriented teeth circumferentially positioned about the internal surface of the gear mandrel. Rotational force applied to the gear mandrel is at least partially transferred to the tubing string hanger through engagement of the teeth on the gear mandrel with the teeth on the hanger causing the tubing string hanger to rotate with the gear mandrel.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2002Date of Patent: November 4, 2003Assignee: Gadu, Inc.Inventor: Andrew J.
