The cloud accepts data queries from users. The data queries as a search criterion specify at least the examination type, the identification of the respective system, and/or the identification of the type of the respective system. The data records are determined by the cloud in accordance with the respective data query and are made available to the respective user.

Abstract: A user interacts with a medical imaging system and a medical reporting system to prepare a medical report. The medical reporting system includes report templates for medical reports. The report templates include placeholder fields with unique placeholder designations and metadata. After a user entry in the medical imaging system to select an image dataset, the image dataset and analysis tools are made available to the user. After a user entry in the medical reporting system to select a report template, a report template is made available. Placeholders contained in the selected report template are displayed with corresponding placeholder designations and metadata, automatically sent to the imaging system, and displayed as data requests. According to the data requests displayed, the data corresponding to the data requests is ascertained or determined by the user and assigned to the placeholder designations. A report editor automatically saves the data in the placeholder fields.

Abstract: One embodiment of the invention is disclosed, related to a method for associating at least two different medical findings with each other, each of the findings being based on a characteristic area in a different set of images. The location of at least one anatomical landmark in relation to the respective characteristic area is determined in each in each of the different sets of images. Then a reference to the least one anatomical landmark is stored together with the respective finding for each of the at least two findings. Finally, pairs of associated findings based on a comparison of the respective references to the at least one anatomical landmark are identified among the at least two findings.

Abstract: A method, a system and a computer program product are disclosed for providing information concerning scheduled procedure steps and/or information concerning performed procedure steps within a taskflow which includes a plurality of tasks for processing medical image data. Each taskflow is associated with a taskflow specific context folder. In at least one embodiment, a publisher task is adapted to select selected data out of the medical image data. For these selected data, meta-information is updated by incorporating additional information concerning scheduled procedure steps and performed procedure steps. This is done by maintaining referential integrity between image data, scheduled procedure steps and performed procedure steps.

Abstract: To provide tailor-made software for use in a specific department of a hospital, a software package suitable for use by more than one department of the hospital is provided including components implementing general tasks. Then, software is added implementing tasks which may be considered to extend the general tasks. This extension can be tailor-made for the specific department. In at least one embodiment, the software package includes both front end and back end software components, front end components reacting to user inputs and calling up back end software components, and the extension may be both at the front end and at the back end side.
