Abstract: A system, method, and processor readable medium for processing data in a knowledge management system gathers information content and transmits a work request for the information content gathered. The information content may be registered with a K-map and assigned a unique document identifier. A work queue processes the work requests. The processed information may then be transmitted to another work queue for further processing. Further processing may include categorization, full-text indexing, metrics extraction or other process. Control messages may be transmitted to one or more users providing a status of the work request. The information may be analyzed and further indexed. A progress statistics report may be generated for each of the processes performed on the document. The progress statistics may be provided in a record. A shared access to a central data structure representing the metrics history and taxonomy may be provided for all work queues via a CORBA service.

Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for inter-parties network computing. A policy management method can include establishing a set of policy terms for receiving content from a content provider based upon preferences selected by a content recipient externally to the content recipient and content provider. The method further can include enforcing the policy terms externally to the content recipient and content provider for content provided by the content provider for receipt by the content recipient. Notably, the establishing step can include mapping the selected preferences to the set of policy terms. The establishing step also can include exposing an interface to the content recipient, and accepting the selected preferences through the interface.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of processing a plurality of events within a calendar application can include receiving a user input specifying a period of time within a calendar associated with a user, detecting a plurality of events occurring within the period of time, and determining at least one attribute for each of the plurality of events. An event clearing technique can be selected for each of the plurality of events according to the at least one attribute of each respective event. The specified time period can be cleared by executing the selected event clearing technique for each of the plurality of events, wherein an updated calendar is generated. The updated calendar can be output.

A level of importance for each social media update is identified and assigned to the update. The social media updates are then displayed in a social networking feed with a particular degree of richness at a particular location based on the level of importance of the social media updates, the current condition of the user's environment, and/or the user's interactions with existing updates currently displayed.
