Abstract: A method and system for providing audio conferencing services to users of an on-line text messaging service connected for text messaging over a computer network. A voice communication telephone number and identification code is provided to selected users instructing the selected users to call the telephone number using a telephone network and enter the identification code. When they call in, a conference call is set up, including the at least two selected users, whereby the selected users can communicate orally over the telephone network without revealing their telephone numbers.
