  • Patent number: 10586444
Abstract: A monitoring and alert system for retro-fitting to latching mechanisms. A master control unit is located proximate to an operator of the system. It includes a user interface having: an input enabling an operator to arm the system and then allow it to operate with minimal interaction of the operator. It also includes an output alerting the operator as to the status of the system in relation to a plurality of prescribed conditions. One or more slave units having sensing units detecting a latched and unlatched state are attached to a discrete latching mechanism for detecting the latching status thereof. Each slave unit comprises sensing means to detect whether the latching mechanism is in a latched state or an unlatched state.

  • Publication number: 20060145733
Abstract: A method for generating a bandlimited digital signal, includes generating a sequence of digital samples of a waveform, such as a sawtooth, square, or pulse waveform. The waveform has a discontinuity with a phase within a particular sampling interval. The digital samples in the sequence of digital samples of the waveform around the discontinuity are summed with a set of digital samples of an alias reducing pulse, which is based on the phase and magnitude of the discontinuity. The alias reducing pulse has essentially no DC bias, such as a pulse that is substantially odd symmetric relative to the phase of the discontinuity. The process is used in synthesis of analog synthesizer waveforms, hard sync and other waveform synthesis procedures.

  • Patent number: 5440721
Abstract: Each of the signal processing units of a digital signal processing system is provided with a programmable timing delay unit having identical programming interface to control the signal timing of its signal processing circuitry. Additionally, a central timing unit is provided to the digital signal processing system to provide signal timing control inputs to the programmable timing delay units. Furthermore, a routing switcher is provided to the digital signal processing system to control configuration of the signal path, i.e. the order in which the signal is processed by all or a subset of the signal processing units of the digital signal processing system. As a result, the individual signal processing units are relieved the burden of providing circuitry for timing control, delay equalization and timing derivation.

  • Patent number: 5218672
Abstract: A post production offline editing system for storing unedited video takes in a random access memory (which is preferably a set of laser video disk players), displaying selected takes (or individual frames from selected takes), and generating an edit list which defines an edited video program. The system includes a computer programmed with software providing an integrated software environment which enables a user conveniently to log unedited takes into the system, and to generate an edit list suitable for use in a subsequent online editing operation. The system software provides global access to a variety of video post production environments at any point during an offline editing operation. The system software presents menus to the user including icons or mnemonic text in windows which may be conveniently selected by the user using a mouse.
