  • Patent number: 11920628
Abstract: An equipment mounting system for mounting equipment to a support structure is described. An equipment mounting system including: (i) a mounting plate having defined therein a plate aperture of a particular shape; (ii) a bolt having a shaft portion including a threaded portion and a non-threaded portion that is of a complementary shape that complements the particular shape of the plate aperture; and (iii) a washer having defined therein a scored aperture that includes multiple radially extending scorings. In an assembled configuration of the mounting plate, the bolt and the washer, the plate aperture of the particular shape aligns with the scoring aperture such that both of the plate aperture and the scoring aperture receive the non-threaded portion of the complementary shape, and the particular shape of the mounting plate engages with the complementary shape of the bolt to prevent rotational displacement of the bolt around the mounting plate.

  • Patent number: 11808166
Abstract: Embodiments of an additively fabricated turbine blade having an integral tuned mass absorber are disclosed herein. The tuned mass absorber has an elliptical cross-section that results in the suppression of blade vibrations in at least two orthogonal modes of vibration. The tuned mass absorber is formed simultaneously during the additive fabrication of the blade. In an embodiment, the tuned mass absorber extends spanwise. In another embodiment, the tuned mass absorber extends chordwise. The dynamic responses of these spanwise and chordwise tuned mass absorbers are analytically predictable such that the dynamic responses may be incorporated into the design process of the turbine blade.

  • Patent number: 5855466
Abstract: A vehicle discharge system for a vehicle (1) provided with a rearwardly tippable bed (2) which includes a tailgate (3) is constituted by a housing (5) mounted at the rear of the bed (2) adjacent to the tailgate (3), a discharge auger (4) rotatably supported within the housing (5) and arranged to receive material which passes the tailgate (3) when the bed is tipped, an auger drive (9) to drive the auger and discharge material carried within the vehicle bed (2) to the side of the vehicle (1) as the bed is tipped and flow control structure (1) capable of differentially exposing material held within the vehicle bed (2) to the discharge auger (4). The flow control structure is constituted by a flow control gate (1) which is capable of being moved in a plane substantially perpendicular to the plane of the base of the vehicle bed (2) and tilted to form a tapered and adjustable opening which exposes material within the vehicle bed to the auger as the bed is tipped.
