  • Publication number: 20140165358
Abstract: An apparatus for presenting a replacement blade from a cartridge includes a body and a carrier. The body includes a first side and a second side opposite the first side, a first position and a second position laterally spaced from the first position, and a trough aligned with the second position. The carrier is slidably coupled to the body and movable between the first position and the second position. When the carrier is in the first position, the carrier couples to a blade if a blade is present in the first position. When the carrier is in the second position, the carrier decouples from the blade such that the blade is deposited in the trough, if a blade is coupled to the carrier. When the carrier moves from the first position to the second position, the carrier causes a blade to move from the first position to the second position.

  • Publication number: 20130199384
Abstract: A device for forming a pattern in a sheet of material is provided. The device includes a base having a detent portion and a locating portion that provides a first position, a platform moveably coupled to the base, and a punch supported by the platform and configured to move between a reset position and a depressed position. The platform includes a detent element configured to engage the detent portion when the platform is proximate the first position and a locating element configured to provide fine location of the platform in the first position relative to the base by engaging the locating portion. The punch forms a pattern in a sheet of material when the punch moves from the reset position to the depressed position and a sheet of material is present proximate the depressed position.

  • Patent number: 8404110
Abstract: An apparatus for diverting rainwater includes a body having a top portion, a bottom portion, and a central portion. A diverter is disposed within the central portion, and has a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion of the diverter, together with one or more walls of the body, defines a containment configured to capture rainwater that enters through the top portion. An opening in at least one of the walls of the body is configured to divert rainwater from the containment. The body also includes a bypass flow area extending through the central portion adjacent to, and separate from, the containment, where the bypass flow area has a cross-sectional area that is substantially equal to or greater than a cross sectional area of the top and bottom portions.

  • Patent number: 8381623
Abstract: A material cutting system for trimming sheet material having a base, a blade engageable with the sheet material along a cut line and a material guide including an illuminated surface indicative of the location of the cut line. In one set of embodiments, an illuminating assembly produces light that is internally transmitted through a light guide portion of the material guide to the illuminated surface. The illuminated surface provides for ready and correct orientation of the sheet material to the desired position for cutting by the material trimmer.

  • Publication number: 20130025424
Abstract: A system for cutting, inking, and debossing sheet material located between a die and a cutting plate is provided. The system includes a die having a support defining an opening, a blade positioned adjacent to the support and defining a cutting edge, a debossing plate configured to cause one or more indentations in the sheet material and including a first side and a second side located substantially opposite the first side, the first side having a raised pattern defined thereon, and at least one pin configured to extend through the opening in the support and to move between a first position and a second position. When the at least one pin is in the first position, the debossing plate is supported by the support, and when the at least one pin is in the second position, the debossing plate is supported by the at least one pin.
