  • Patent number: 10440155
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for setting up a communication channel over a packet switched network between/among participants to a private line connection which has been established over the packet switched network such that the communication channel is different from the private line connection.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 9, 2016
Date of Patent: October 8, 2019
    Assignee: Cloud9 Technologies, LLC
Inventors: Stephen J Kammerer, Leonidas P Papadopoulos, Andrew Pappas
  • Patent number: 10356247
Abstract: VoIP telephone systems and methods are provided for use in a noisy listening environment. The systems and methods provide high quality voice broadcast into the noisy listening environment through independent voice channels which makes it easier for the human brain to discern broadcast words from the background noise.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 28, 2016
Date of Patent: July 16, 2019
    Assignee: Cloud9 Technologies, LLC
    Inventor: Andrew Pappas
  • Patent number: 10313405
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamic configuration of a digital conference call among customer premise equipment (CPE) such that CPEs that are determined to be located on a same local network connect via a peer-to-peer connection and CPEs that are determined to not be located on the same local network connect via a client-server connection.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 2016
Date of Patent: June 4, 2019
    Assignee: Cloud9 Technologies, LLC
    Inventor: Andrew Pappas
  • Patent number: 10218854
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for attenuating a communications channel on one or more speakerphones which are located in close physical proximity to one another and which are being used on the same call.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 1, 2016
Date of Patent: February 26, 2019
    Inventor: Andrew Pappas
  • Patent number: 10153991
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for limiting the number of persistent voice connections for a user and for configuring dynamic connections to appear from the user's perspective as if they were persistent connections. When the user initiates a call over a dynamic connection the user's voice is stored until the connection is established at which time the user's voice will continue to be stored and will also be transmitted over the connection until the voice being stored and the voice being transmitted become the same.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20050189529
Abstract: A roller bar security device includes a longitudinally extending tubular member having first and second ends and a plurality of rigid overlapping outwardly extending blades each of which has a generally triangular shape with a base mounted on the tubular member and a sharp point at its apex. The blades are fixed to and extend around and along the tubular member with the apexes of alternate longitudinally spaced blades facing in generally opposite directions. A mounting bracket and bearing are provided for rotatably mounting the tubular member and blades on top of a wall or the like so that the sharp points and edges will deter a potential intruder from climbing over the security device.
