  • Publication number: 20240138962
Abstract: A dental model gripping system can include a dental model and a dental model gripper. The dental model can include a replica set of teeth and a flat bottom surface there beneath that can include first and second vertical openings spaced apart by an opening distance. The dental model gripper can have a flat top surface and first and second pins extending vertically therethrough that can slide toward and away from each other. The first and second pins can be slid to an engaging position where they are spaced apart by the opening distance and are insertable into the vertical openings of the dental model, can be slid away from each other to a gripping position while inserted into the vertical openings, and can press against internal surfaces within the vertical openings to grip firmly the bottom surface of the dental model against the top surface of the dental model gripper.

  • Patent number: 10861106
Abstract: Computing systems, computer-implemented methods, articles of manufacture for making personalized assessments regarding whether a taxpayer should be presented with a standardized flow of interview screens, questions or topics, or with an itemized deduction flow of interview screens, questions or topics. This assessment is made utilizing a generated user interface and analytic data elements that generate outputs that reflect the taxpayer's data, e.g., in the form of ranges of numerical data that are based on the taxpayer's data. User interface elements representing response options in the form of range data may be selected by the user without entering specific electronic tax return data for the purpose of making standardized v. itemized determinations and to determine which questions or topics can be bypassed.

  • Publication number: 20170004585
Abstract: A method and system personalizes and facilitates an electronic tax return preparation interview in a tax return preparation system, using a multi-sectional view of interview content, according to one embodiment. The method and system displays first user income information at least partially based on user data, and displays characteristics for the first user income information in a first section of a user interface to indicate to the user which of the first user income information has been identified by an electronic tax return preparation system, according to one embodiment. The method and system, in a second section of the user interface, acquires second user income information from the user, and updates the first section of the user interface with the second user income information acquired from the user within the second section of the user interface.

  • Patent number: 7469274
Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatus and software can be implemented to discover third-party copy devices in a distributed computing environment, determine which of the third-party copy devices is best suited for a particular data moving application, and thereby better utilize network and computing system resources. Moreover, environment changes (e.g., device failure, network traffic changes, new device addition) can be dynamically incorporated into the information used for third-party copy device discovery and selection. These systems, methods, apparatus and software help to reduce human errors which can cause failures in critical data protection operations.
