  • Publication number: 20240113974
Abstract: Mobile management method, system and client. Method includes receiving a DNS query for a host name from an application on client; retrieving reputation data associated with host name from a local cache on client; and determining a policy based on host name and the reputation data. Based on determined policy for the host name, blocking attempted network flows to a host corresponding to host name to produce blocked attempted network flows. Method also includes sending attempted network flow metadata related to the blocked attempted network flows to a collector on client; transmitting the attempted network flow metadata from the collector to a VPN server pool via a VPN tunnel; and producing an anomaly report from the transmitted attempted network flow metadata. The anomaly report includes at least one of anomalies, cohorts, trends, location boundaries, detected network security issues, detected compromised clients and/or optimized network usage.

  • Patent number: 11607469
Abstract: A standalone UV-C sanitizing apparatus and method is provided that is operable to sanitize and disinfect a user's hands or protective gloves. The apparatus includes a housing with light emitting diodes (LEDs) positioned to emit ultraviolet (UV-C) light connected to a circuit board which are individually connected to a power source. The apparatus is configured so that when the user positions the hands or gloves under the housing, the UV-C light is emitted for a predetermined period of time based on the distance to the hands and the power output of the LEDs. The UV-C light is emitted at a wavelength suitable to kill, destroy, or reduce growth of microorganisms/germs. The housing can be configured with a sensor to detect motion under the housing and include a limiter hand guard.

  • Publication number: 20200102663
Abstract: A composite membrane that is suitable for use in a molten alkaline water electrolyzer. In one embodiment, the composite membrane includes a porous support, the porous support being in the form of a matrix of metal oxide particles randomly arranged to form a plurality of tortuous pores. The composite membrane also includes molten electrolyte filling the pores of the porous support, the molten electrolyte having hydroxide ion conductivity. The molten electrolyte may be a single species of an alkali hydroxide or of an alkaline earth hydroxide. Alternatively, the molten electrolyte may be a eutectic or non-eutectic mixture of two or more species of alkali hydroxides or alkaline earth hydroxides. The composite membrane may further include one or more additives, such as a coarsening inhibitor, a crack attenuator, and a reinforcing material. The composite material may be used to make a molten alkaline membrane water electrolyzer with high electrical efficiencies.

  • Publication number: 20160014470
Abstract: Example embodiments of the systems and methods of node splitting disclosed herein aid designers and engineers in correctly selecting network nodes (such as hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) nodes) for splitting as well as the ability to split those nodes in the field for maximum efficiency. The systems and methods disclosed herein collect data from a variety of sources that are used as part of a criteria-based formula for determining which nodes have reached a maximum level of proper bandwidth usage and which are experiencing network stress, which could degrade the customer experience. Once these nodes are identified to be split, the nodes to be split may be re-designed to maximize network facilities, improve reliability, and reduce future split costs.
