Patent number: 11768096Abstract: A lid for a beverage container having a reservoir chamber for holding drink additive, a measurement chamber in fluid communication with the measurement chamber, and an upper chamber with a lower end in fluid communication with an upper end portion of the reservoir chamber. A plunger has an upper chamber seal, an upper seal and a lower seal, and an actuator moves the plunger between first, second and third plunger positions to dispense a measured drink additive in the measurement chamber into the container. The plunger has a central filler port to receive drink additive and an aperture in fluid communication with the reservoir chamber. The actuator includes a closure member closing the filler port and manually movable to move the plunger. A lock member is movable between locked and unlocked positions, and in the locked position prevents movement of the plunger from the first to the second plunger position.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2022Date of Patent: September 26, 2023Assignee: Toddy Tech, LLCInventors: Andrew Tonn, Joel R. Patent number: 10421590Abstract: This container lid fits onto existing insulated cups. It has a refillable and sealable reservoir and in the preferred embodiment includes a top opening to receive substances and a bottom opening to release substances into a container. The release of substances into the beverage container is controlled and is measured before release. A preferred double piston and button combination interact with a narrow section of the reservoir to dispense only a portion of the contents from the reservoir into the container. The released portion is carefully metered within the narrow channel when the double piston alternately seals a first opening and a second opening of the narrow channel. The reservoir serves to store the unreleased substance until the next time the button is activated to release addition substance into the container.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2017Date of Patent: September 24, 2019Assignee: Toddy Tech, LLCInventors: Andrew Tonn, Stephen Sanford, David Yakos, Joel R. Switzer

Publication number: 20150084282Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for pneumatically actuated displays for colored powder. In one illustrative embodiment, an indicator unit includes a hopper into which a dispersible indication powder can be loaded. An air inlet at the bottom of the hopper aligns with a hollow downpipe extending upwards to the top of the hopper. Upon receiving a signal, a burst of air is sent through the air inlet, lifting a portion of the indication powder through the downpipe and into the air above the indicator unit. For use as part of a reactive target system, one or more sensors that can be attached to the back of a target are in communication with the indicator unit and can generate a signal upon sensing a desired condition.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2014Publication date: March 26, 2015Inventors: Andrew Tonn, Nick Schafer, Tyler Gilbert
