  • Patent number: 11986560
Abstract: The system invention describes a support and improved method of application and removal. The support, comprised of a network of flexible, non-porous, multi-lumen tubing interlaces at a plurality of junctions to form a lattice structure. Apertures designed to accommodate boney prominences also permit air or water to reach the skin underneath and encourage rapid fluid flow internally through the lattice. A hydrophobic, thermal-resistant, flowable padding layer is injected within a secondary lumen to the lattice structure, spanning its complete surface area. As a result, the breathability of the support is not affected by this padding layer because it mirrors the apertures of the lattice. At least one liquid is injected into the structure and configured to transform into a solid when acted on by an external mechanical stimulus.

  • Patent number: 11545802
Abstract: An electronic device includes a fork structure having a pair of arms disposed in spaced relation and defining an open-ended channel therebetween. A surface of channel defines a seat opposite the open end. The channel has a width W1 at its narrowest section. A rigid wire of an electrical component is disposed in the channel generally adjacent to the seat. The wire has a width W2 that is greater than the width W1 so surfaces of the channel at the narrowest section defined by width W1 interfere with the wire, preventing the wire from moving towards the open end of the channel. The pair of arms are constructed and arranged to be moved toward each other so as to crimp the wire to the fork structure.

  • Patent number: 11114218
Abstract: An electrical device includes an electrically conductive member, an overmold material disposed about a portion of the electrically conductive member and a membrane disposed between the overmold material and at least a portion of the electrically conductive member. The membrane has a compressibility greater that a compressibility of the overmold material such that at least a portion of relative thermal expansion between the electrically conductive member relative to the overmold material is absorbed by the membrane.

  • Publication number: 20050285307
Abstract: A method of assembling and sealing a circuit board within a housing includes the steps of placing the circuit board within the housing, filling the space above the circuit board or around the circuit board with a potting material, and then exhausting that cavity of gases during a curing process of the potting material. Exhausting of the gases is performed and accommodated by a vent opening. An access opening is in communication with the vent opening and provides for the injection of sealant to block the vent opening.

  • Publication number: 20050236212
Abstract: A satellite sensor assembly includes a plastic sensor housing that is mounted to a vehicle structure comprised of sheet metal. The sensor housing includes a transversely extending tab that is received within an opening formed in the sheet metal. The tab includes a pair of crush ribs that extend along the length of the tab. The ribs deform as the tab is inserted through the opening to achieve an interference fit. The inference fit serves to hold the housing in place until the housing can be separately fastened to the sheet metal with a fastener.

  • Patent number: 6669505
Abstract: The electronic control unit assembly (10) includes an electronic control unit (16) and a housing (18). The housing (18) include a housing first portion (28) and a housing second portion (30). The housing first portion (28) mounts to a relatively planar surface of the ECU (16). The housing second portion (30) extends from the housing first portion in a cantilever manner to at least partially cover the connector interface (22) and the plurality of connectors (24) to provide protection therefore.
