  • Patent number: 9168767
Abstract: In a row of lottery tickets each ticket has variable image printing game data printed onto a base layer on a substrate and a series of covering layers including at least one sealing layer and at least one scratch-off layer. Simultaneously game information is printed as a multi-color digital image for each ticket using a variable image printing system. The game information graphics can indicate different values for different ones of the tickets. The tickets in the row can be of different series for sale to different retailers. The printing system automatically correlates the game data and game information to ensure no registration errors thus allowing much improved variability and allowing the game to take into account both game data and game information in determining a winning ticket.

  • Patent number: 8469789
Abstract: A game for a plurality of players includes a set of instant win tickets and a programmed computer system creating a web site associated with the tickets to be accessed by the player to play second games. The system provides a ticket validation program for prize redemption at a retailer and provides entry of the player into the second game such that the player who is a winner of prize on the first game can select to accept the prize redemption or to enter the site to use the prize to play said at least one second game. Additional credit can be purchased and applied by a certificate or smart card to the site. The validation data base is maintained separate from the site to prevent access by the players through the site to avoid encryption.

  • Patent number: 8074570
Abstract: In a row of lottery tickets each ticket has variable image printing game data printed onto a base layer on a substrate and a series of covering layers including at least one sealing layer and at least one scratch-off layer. Onto the scratch-off layer is a multi-color digital image for each ticket using a variable image printing system. At least part of the scratch-off layer can be left free from printed overlay graphics and the multi-color digital image can be printed subsequently at a different location from the ticket manufacturing location. The graphics can indicate different values for different ones of the tickets. The tickets in the row can be of different lengths and the graphics can be different for different length ones of the tickets.

  • Publication number: 20080122220
Abstract: A lottery ticket has a covering scratch-off coating applied over at least part of a game area, including game data applied over an ink layer including a lily pad. A detectable taggant additive material is admixed in an ink of the ink layer having the characteristic of being detectable by a detection scanner when applied over the substrate where the covering scratch-off coating masks the ability of the detection scanner to detect the detectable taggant additive material through the covering scratch-off coating. The scanning of the game area is used to detect areas where the scratch is removed in order to confirm that the game has been played or to detect patterns of removal in a probability type game.

  • Publication number: 20030195754
Abstract: A method and system in a computer for tracking requests for deviations, such as deviations to products, is provided. The computer system receives information associated with a request for deviation. After a review of a request, the computer system receives an indication of a decision for the request resulting from the review. When requested by a user, the computer system generates a report indicating open items identified during the review. Once the open items have been completed, the computer system receives an indication that an open item has been completed. When a final decision for the request is reached, the computer system receives an indication of the decision.
