Abstract: A portable sensing device may be deployed for determining at least one stability metric of a vessel. The sensing device may include one or more motion sensors for sensing motion of the vessel, one or more freeboard sensors for determining a freeboard of the vessel, and a computing system for processing motion data from the one or more motion sensors and freeboard data from the one or more freeboard sensors to determine the at least one stability metric. The computing system may be programmed to transform the motion data from time domain motion data to frequency domain motion data and process the frequency domain motion data to determine the at least one stability metric of the vessel and the freeboard of the vessel.

The hanger has an indicator attachment mechanism, which is configured to selectively engage, in a detachable manner, a first indicator or a second indicator that has a dimension different from the dimension of the first indicator. The pinch-grip includes first and second components extending substantially vertically from the hanger and cooperatively defining a pivot axis, each of the components including an upper end extending above the pivot axis and a lower end extending below the pivot axis. A spring force biases the lower ends together to a closed position and permits separation of the lower ends to an open position by pivotal movement of at least one of the upper ends towards the other upper end. Abstract: A color-coded hanger assembly is formed of a hanger and a spray coating The hanger includes an injection molded hanger body formed of plastic of a first color and a hook for suspending the hanger body. The spray coating is of a second color contrasting with the first color, is disposed in at least one or more selected areas of the hanger body adapted to receive and support clothing, and enhances the friction between the selected areas and clothing placed thereon. The second color indicates the areas of the hanger body on which clothing is to be placed by the user for enhanced frictional engagement. Apparatus for assembling an injection molded hanger body formed of plastic and a separately formed second component of the hanger, additionally includes a spray for depositing, on at least one or more selected areas of the hanger body adapted to receive and support clothing, a friction-enhancing spray coating.
