  • Patent number: 8142465
Abstract: A patient's skin puncturing device comprises a body (1), inside of which a puncturing needle (4) and at least one turned down arm (5, 6) are guided, and a push button (2). Between body (1) and button (2) activating elements (10, 11, 12, 13) are placed. Activating elements enable push button (2) to be forced into body (1) when a pre-set thrust force is exceeded. Needle (4) is driven by push button (2) by a membrane (9), which is broken after resting the needle (4) upon an abutting surface (16) in body (1). After breaking membrane (9) and the patient's skin puncture by the needle (4), needle (4) is withdrawn inwards the body (1) due to a transfer of a thrust force from push button (2) by turned down arm (5, 6) guided in the body (1).

  • Patent number: 8052707
Abstract: A patient's skin puncturing device, particularly for collecting a blood sample for diagnostic purposes, including a housing, a lancet slidably positioned inside the housing and having a body with a sheathed puncturing needle seated therein, and a push button positioned at the one end of the housing. Between a face end of the push button and the lancet body a drive spring is placed, and between the other end of the housing, which is provided with an opening for the puncturing needle, and the lancet body a return spring is placed. Between the housing and the lancet body is placed a lancet actuation lock, preferably in the form of interlocks of a washer. The device has a drive spring catch, preferably in the form of grabs of the washer, to preclude the drive spring from following the lancet in the puncture phase and in the retraction phase of the lancet.

  • Publication number: 20020065857
Abstract: A system and method for searching documents in a data source and more particularly, to a system and method for analyzing and clustering of documents for a search engine. The system and method includes analyzing and processing documents to secure the infrastructure and standards for optimal document processing. By incorporating Computational Intelligence (CI) and statistical methods, the document information is analyzed and clustered using novel techniques for knowledge extraction. A comprehensive dictionary is built based on the keywords identified by the these techniques from the entire text of the document. The text is parsed for keywords or the number of its occurrences and the context in which the word appears in the documents. The whole document is identified by the knowledge that is represented in its contents. Based on such knowledge extracted from all the documents, the documents are clustered into meaningful groups in a catalog tree.

  • Publication number: 20020042789
Abstract: A method and system for searching a document source. The method includes analyzing a query and then creating a query pattern. A document is search in a document source which match the query pattern. The retrieved documents are divided into subsets of similar documents, where each subset of the subsets of similar documents is described in terms of a subset pattern. An ordered list of clusters based on the subset pattern of each subset of similar documents is then retrieved. The ordered list of clusters includes separate clusters which contain similar documents retrieved in response to the query. A machine readable medium containing code for searching a document source is also provided.
