Publication number: 20230262922Abstract: A data center cabinet has an equipment rail movably secured to front-to-back beams by a retaining mechanism. The retaining mechanism has a threaded member extending through a front-to-back beam and the equipment rail and a handle rotatable relative to the threaded member. A first cam disk is positioned between the handle and equipment rail and is fixed to the equipment rail and a second cam disk is positioned between the handle and first cam disk and is fixed to the handle. First and second surfaces of the first and second cam disks are engaged with the handle in a first position to provide a clamping force between the equipment rail and front-to-back beam to prevent movement of the equipment rail and the first and second cam surfaces are disengaged with the handle in a second position to remove the clamping force to allow movement of the equipment rail.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 28, 2023Publication date: August 17, 2023Applicant: Panduit Corp.Inventors: Andrzej Nicewicz, Jerry A. Wiltjer, Tomasz K. Waz, James N. Fleming

Patent number: 8848367Abstract: A thermal management system for an electronic equipment enclosure is provided. The thermal management system includes an intake duct for routing cold air in the front of the electronic equipment enclosure to the side of electronic equipment enclosure and one or more blanking panels for separating cold air in the front of the electronic equipment enclosure and hot air in the back of the electronic enclosure, as needed, for example, depending on the configuration of the thermal management system and/or the electronic equipment enclosure. The intake duct includes a front cover, which acts as an additional blanking panel, when installed, changing the airflow pattern of the electronic equipment enclosure, for example, from side-to-side to front-to back.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2012Date of Patent: September 30, 2014Assignee: Panduit Corp.Inventors: Samuel J. Adducci, Andrzej Nicewicz

Patent number: 8395046Abstract: A network cabinet is provided comprising a base member, two pairs of vertical frame rail members connected to the base member, and a top cover supported by at least one of the vertical frame rail members. The base member defines an opening and another opening is defined in the top cover. The vertical frame rail members are positioned spaced apart from four sidewalls from four corners of the cabinet formed by the four sidewalls, where each sidewall comprises a panel or a door. The two pairs of vertical frame rail members and the four sidewalls define at least one cable management pathway and at least a portion of the cable management pathway is vertically aligned with at least a portion of the opening of the base member and the opening of the top cover. The network cabinet may also comprise two front corner posts and two rear corner posts.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2010Date of Patent: March 12, 2013Assignee: Panduit Corp.Inventors: Andrzej Nicewicz, Samuel J.
