    Abstract: An amplitude of an echo signal in a driven equilibrium (DE) pulse group is used for determination of a longitudinal relaxation time T1 of an earth formation. DE pulse groups followed by a CPMG sequence can be used for estimating both T1 and a transverse relaxation time T2 within one fast measurement.
