Patent number: 8949080Abstract: A method of designing an integrated circuit includes performing a pre-layout simulation of the integrated circuit. The pre-layout simulation is performed using a netlist generated from a process design kit (PDK) file. The PDK file includes a plurality of device model cards that are assigned to plurality of devices. The plurality of devices include a first device having at least one parasitic diode that is associated with at least one isolation well, the PDK file including information of the at least one parasitic diode. A design layout of the integrated circuit corresponding to a result of the pre-layout simulation is generated.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2010Date of Patent: February 3, 2015Assignee: Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd.Inventors: Kuo-Tsai Li, Paul Chang, Andy Chang

Publication number: 20140372536Abstract: A system includes a processor which has access to a representation of model of activity, which includes workspaces. Each workspace includes domain hierarchies for representing an organizational structure of the collaborating users using the system, and initiatives hierarchies representing process structures for accomplishing goals. An interface permits users to view and modify the workspaces for which the user has access. Each user can have different access permissions in different workspaces. The domain and initiative hierarchies provide two views of the workspace objects without duplicating resources. A resource is a collection of shared elements defined by the users that give users associated with the workspace access to information sources. Users can define knowledge boards for creating reports based on information fields of the resources. The knowledge board is associated with a resource template from which the resource is created.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2014Publication date: December 18, 2014Inventors: Janet Ahlgren, Andy Chang, Kevin Kelley, Gideon Moran, Gorham Palmer, Hung Phan, Nhat Phan, Stuart Rudolph, Robert Torchon

Publication number: 20140247238Abstract: A system and method for improved accuracy in the detection of a stylus on a touch sensitive surface of an electronic device, such as a tablet. A dual method of detection is employed including electromagnetic induction detection of the stylus as it is in the vicinity of the screen of the electronic device, as well as capacitive detection of the stylus tip as it contacts the touch screen. The electronic device detects the presence of the top of the stylus and provides the general coordinates of its position. Then, as touches occur on the surface of the device, e.g., the stylus tip as well as the various parts of the user's hand, the system uses the coordinates supplied from the electromagnetic induction detection to very quickly and accurately pinpoint the actual location of the stylus input on the surface of the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 1, 2013Publication date: September 4, 2014Applicant: BARNESANDNOBLE.COM LLCInventor: Songan Andy Chang

Publication number: 20140043265Abstract: A system and method for the detection and interpretation of unique and distinctive gestures by extending the input sensor area to a perimeter area beyond the display area. In systems that have more flexible requirements, an additional gesture band can be located within the display area. The extended input sensor area allows for new gestures that are facilitated by the expanded sensor area. One gesture initiated around the corner of the device is most useful as ‘next’ and ‘previous’ navigation gestures found in traditional electronic publication reader applications, but can be overloaded or repurposed to serve different functions depending on the context. An gesture is used to initiate screen capture process. A third gesture is a corner-fold bookmark gesture and is used to bookmark a page by ‘dog earing’ the corner of the page electronically. An additional gesture, also initiated at the corner of the device launches selectable icons for the most frequently used applications.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 7, 2013Publication date: February 13, 2014Applicant: barnesandnoble.com llcInventors: Songan Andy CHANG, Abhinayak MISHRA, Bennett CHAN

Patent number: 7807593Abstract: In one embodiment the invention is an article comprising at least two layers, a first or low crystallinity layer comprising a low crystallinity polymer and a second or high crystallinity layer comprising a high crystallinity polymer. The high crystallinity polymer has a melting point as determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) that is about the same or within less than 25 C of the melting point of the low crystallinity polymer. The article is elongated at a temperature below the melting point of the low crystallinity polymer in at least one direction to an elongation of at least about 50% of its original length or width, to form a pre-stretched article. Preferably, the high crystallinity layer is capable of undergoing plastic deformation upon the elongation.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2006Date of Patent: October 5, 2010Assignee: Dow Global Technologies Inc.Inventors: Rajen M.
