  • Patent number: 11990422
Abstract: An Integrated Circuit (IC) package has a ferrite-dielectric shield between a planar inductor coil and a semiconductor chip. The shield blocks Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) generated by currents in the inductor coil from reaching the semiconductor chip. The shield has a ferrite layer surrounded by upper and lower dielectric laminate layers to prevent electrical shorts. The center end of the inductor coil connects to the semiconductor chip through a center post that fits through an opening in the shield that is over the air core center of the inductor coil. The center post can connect to a die attach pad that the semiconductor chip is mounted to. Bonding wires connect pads on the semiconductor chip to lead-frame pads on lead-frame risers that end at external package connectors. The outer end of the inductor coil connects to lead-frame outer risers also having external package connectors such as pins or bonding balls.

  • Publication number: 20240009003
Abstract: In some embodiments, a spine surgical system includes an access tool defining a lumen configured to receive one or more tools or instruments. The spine surgical system can further include one or more tool guides insertable within the access tool lumen and configured to wrap around and keep at least one of the tools during insertion and prevent, inhibit, or limit translation during implantation, device expansion, etc. Each of the tool guides can be designed/customized based at least partially on, or otherwise configured to correspond to, at least one of the instruments. Additionally, or alternatively, the access tool body can include an expandable configured to flex or bend in response to the insertion of one or more tools, such as insertable expanders, within the access tool lumen.

  • Publication number: 20230320866
Abstract: Interbody spacers are expandable horizontally and vertically by an application of axial force, and lockable in an expanded configuration. The spacers include support members interconnected to end bodies by pivotable link members. The spacers are introduced between vertebral bodies in a compressed configuration and expanded to fill the intervertebral space and provide support and selective lordotic correction. Graft material may be introduced into the expanded spacer. Provisional and/or supplementary locking means to lock the spacers in the expanded configuration. Embodiments of the spacers include symmetrically and asymmetrically configured spacers. Methods of expansion include symmetric expansion or asymmetric expansion along each of two directions.

  • Publication number: 20040126038
Abstract: A method and system for automated annotation and retrieval of remote digital content is described. The image capture device of the present invention is configured to communicate with one or more external devices using a wired or wireless protocol. For example, Smart tag, 802.11, or Bluetooth protocols may be used to enable the camera to communicate with the external device, associated with an object of interest, to obtain metadata corresponding to a captured image of the object. The metadata collected using various forms of technology, as noted above for instance, can be used to automatically index a digital image and/or other digital content without any manual intervention.

  • Patent number: 6005204
Abstract: A motion actuated switch for operating a signalling apparatus for emitting a light or sound signal from within a novelty article, in which a switch body is defined by a cap attached to plate and the switch body being mountable within the novelty article. The plate has an electrically conductive first contact. At least a portion of the cap has an electrically conductive second contact. The cap and the plate define a cavity within the switch body. An electrically conductive sphere is disposed within the cavity for free movement therein and sized for at least momentarily contacting the first contact and the second contact upon motion of the novelty article. The switch is in electrical communication with a signalling apparatus by a first lead attached to the first contact and a second lead attached to the second contact.
