  • Patent number: 11941957
Abstract: A security device for a retail store display and method of use. The security device includes a securing element moveable, relative the retail store surface, from a first position to a second position to allow customer access to a product. An electromagnetic or electromagnetic lock is configured to lock the securing element in the first position, to further limit the customer access afforded by the securing element. The lockdown provided by the secondary lockdown mechanism can be used for additional protection during times of need, such as after hours or if employees are not on the sales floor.

  • Publication number: 20230233000
Abstract: A theft deterrent system for mounting on a retail shelf that includes a receiver to attach to the retail shelf and a plurality of gates positioned along the receiver. Each gate of the plurality of gates is arranged to swing open from the receiver. A plurality of blockers is arranged in a slidable manner along the receiver. Each blocker provides audible feedback as it slides relative to the receiver. Each blocker prevents a respective underlying gate to swing open from the receiver.

  • Publication number: 20160307415
Abstract: An apparatus, a system and a method monitor a device within a zone. A head may wirelessly communicate with an emitter and a hub. The device may be secured to the head. The emitter may transmit a signal to define the zone, and the head may receive the signal to detect the presence of the device and the head within the zone. A first alarm may be triggered upon removal of the head and the device from the zone. A second alarm may be triggered upon removal of the head and the device from the zone for a time that exceeds a threshold of time. A key may insert into the hub to deactivate the second alarm.

  • Patent number: 9460594
Abstract: An apparatus, a system and a method positions a cable extending from an alarm system through a housing to face the cable toward the rear of an electronic device to which the cable is attached. The housing has a sensor assembly that holds a light visible through the sensor assembly to denote an alarm condition. A sensor associated with the sensor assembly connects to a corresponding sensor port in the electronic device. A joint attached to the sensor assembly rotates to position the cable. Detachment of the sensor from the port in the electronic device disrupts a circuit formed between the alarm system, the cable and the electronic device to activate the alarm condition.

  • Patent number: 8985541
Abstract: A cable roller, a system and/or a method extend and/or retract a coiled cable. The cable roller, the system and/or the method secure an article to a fixture while allowing manipulation, testing and/or maneuvering of the article with respect to the fixture. A drum attaches to the fixture. The drum has a sleeve that rotates freely with respect to the central axis of the drum. A spring action of the coiled cable rotates the sleeve to extend and/or to retract the coiled cable from an underside of the fixture.

  • Patent number: 8395907
Abstract: A multi-sensor alarm apparatus, may prevent and/or may deter a theft and/or a removal of one or more articles from a display stand. A base, a main body and a head unit are provided. The base and the main body are secured to the display stand. The multi-sensor alarm apparatus monitors an integrity of the attachment of the main body to the base with a separation sensor. Further, the multi-sensor alarm apparatus monitors sensors connected to the head unit and/or to the main body. The sensors may be removed and/or added as needed depending on the articles to be secured.

  • Patent number: 7868586
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices wirelessly energize passive wireless data communication devices. In one embodiment, remotely powered wireless transmission power sources are actuated by a user. Upon actuation, a selected wireless transmission power source transmits electromagnetic energization energy into a volume of space, thereby energizing passive wireless data communication devices therein. The user may use a hand-held portable automatic data collection device to interrogate the wireless data communication devices and may use the automatic data collection device to remotely actuate the selected wireless transmission power source.
