Abstract: An electrical generator apparatus, an electrical generator system and a method for generating electricity while using the electrical generator apparatus or the electrical generator system each include at least one hollow tubular arc component (i.e., generally a hollow tubular ring), at least one coil winding surrounding the at least a portion of the at least one hollow tubular arc component and at least one magnet movably located within a bore within the at least one hollow tubular arc component to pass through the at least one coil winding. By effecting a relative motion of the at least one magnet with respect to the at least one coil winding, an electrical output may be generated at the terminals of the at least one coil winding. The electrical generator apparatus, system and method may be particularly useful in generating electricity from water wave motion when the electrical generator apparatus is housed within a watertight enclosure that may serve as a buoy enclosure.
