  • Patent number: 5450325
Abstract: A cyclocomputer for use on a bicycle displays route instructions stored in the cyclocomputer, displays two dimensional graphs on the face of the cyclocomputer, and is capable of exporting and importing information to and from other computers or cyclocomputers. The route instructions may be displayed with symbols such as left arrow, right arrow and up arrow or with alphanumeric characters. The displayed instruction is advanced to the next instruction automatically when a predetermined distance has been measured by the odometer or by the press of a button. Button presses may advance or review the displayed instructions. The distance to the next instruction point is constantly displayed. Importing information may be accomplished with an infrared link which communicates to many cyclocomputers at one time. Recorded data, such as speed, pedal cadence, or heart rate, may be displayed over distance or time, with the graphs being marked for each instruction point.

  • Patent number: 5377974
Abstract: A string or cord is tied between two vertical surfaces. A hoop is rolled across the stretched string in an attempt to balance the hoop as it travels from one end of the string to an opposite end of the string. On a peripheral edge of the hoop, a concave groove is formed so as to engage the string as the hoop is rolled across the string. Depending upon the depth and width of the groove, the degree of difficulty in rolling the hoop across the string is varied. In a preferred embodiment, the string is stretched across a game table, so if the hoop falls off of the string or even if the hoop completes its journey across the string, the hoop falls onto an elevated surface from which the hoop may be retrieved. To assist a player in retrieving the hoop, a hooked rod may be used.

  • Patent number: 4374453
Abstract: A bicycle freewheel wrench pry adapter for use with a freewheel wrench in removing a freewheel and its associated drive sprocket assembly from the bicycle axle is generally U-shaped and includes a channel in the base of the U opposite the legs of the U which fits the boss of the freewheel wrench engaged with the freewheel. The adapter includes a recess in the root of each leg of the U to assist in retaining a pry inserted between the legs for applying force through the freewheel wrench to the freewheel. The freewheel wrench pry adapter channel includes stress reliefs in the corners of the channel to avoid excessive stress concentrations in such corners which could induce breakage of the freewheel wrench pry adapter.
