  • Patent number: 8455080
Abstract: A protective sleeve for covering a wire harness. The protective sleeve includes an outer layer of a woven fabric extending a first length and a first width and having inwardly-facing surface and outwardly-facing surface. The protective sleeve also includes an adhesive layer applied over the inner-facing surface of the outer layer. The protective sleeve also includes an inner layer of non-woven fabric extending a second length and a second width less than the first width. The inner layer has an outwardly-facing surface adhered to the adhesive layer. The inner layer is centered on the outer layer such that two portions of the adhesive layer extend exposed along the first length on opposite sides of the second width.

  • Patent number: 8016090
Abstract: An insulated container has a front, back, top and bottom. Pairs of mating members are located on the front and pairs of mating members are located on the back to maintain the container in a collapsed state. The mating members on the front are positioned such that the mating members form a connection when the top of the container is folded on top of the front of the container. The mating members on the back are position such that the mating members form a connection when the bottom of the container is fold on top of the back of the container. In some embodiments, the mating members are positioned on portions of handles attached to the container.

  • Patent number: 7959006
Abstract: A bag has two handles extending from a containing structure that holds items. An elastic member is attached to each handle and each elastic member defines at least part of a passage. Arms of a bag rack assembly are placed through the passages defined by the elastic members so that the bag is supported on the bag rack by the elastic members.

  • Patent number: 7395680
Abstract: A warp knit self-curling fabric and methods of construction thereof provides an elongate sleeve having overlapping edges for protecting elongate members. The fabric includes warp stitches and a plurality of weft stitches. The fabric comprises at least three yarns warp knit together, wherein one of the weft stitches is knit using a tricot stitch of a monofilament under tension to bias the fabric into a self-curled configuration about a central space. The monofilament forms an inner surface of the sleeve.

  • Publication number: 20080105324
Abstract: A substrate including a plurality of monofilaments, or a combination of monofilaments and multi-filament yarns oriented in perpendicular directions, has a tendency to curl around a central space. When all monofilaments are used, the monofilaments along one direction may have a larger diameter than the monofilaments along the other direction. The monofilaments are woven such that the larger diameter monofilaments form floats predominantly on one side of the substrate. For the monofilament-multifilament combination the monofilaments form floats predominantly on one side of the substrate. The substrate curls about an axis parallel to the monofilaments forming the floats. The side having the floats faces outwardly away form the central space. Preferably, the monofilaments are orientated in the warp direction along the substrate. The filaments may be woven in a herringbone twill weave, a double cloth herringbone twill weave or a satin weave to provide the floats.

  • Publication number: 20070243356
Abstract: A woven low-profile protection sleeve has a lower wall hingedly connected to an upper wall. The lower wall and upper wall have a plurality of yarn filaments extending along a warp direction corresponding to the length of the sleeve and a plurality of yarn filaments extending along a generally perpendicular fill direction. The upper wall is interconnected with the lower wall via a living hinge that utilizes at least some of the same yarn filaments forming the upper and lower walls. The living hinge provides self folding movement between the upper and lower walls to bias them in overlapping relation to one another. An additional aspect includes providing at least some of the yarn filaments in the upper wall, lower wall, and living hinge as being conductive to provide the sleeve with at least one of EMI, RFI or ESD shielding properties.

  • Patent number: 7188642
Abstract: A pull tape for facilitating positioning of elongated items within a protective sleeve is disclosed. The pull tape is woven of filamentary members preferably using a twill or satin weave that allows floats to form on the surface of the tape that reduce friction between the tape and the sleeve when the tape is drawn through the sleeve. Preferably, the tape is formed of multifilament warp and weft yarns woven in a plain weave with additional monofilament yarns arranged in the warp direction and woven in a twill or satin weave to form the floats in the warp direction. Additional embodiments include tapes having warp members entirely of monofilaments, as well as both warp and weft members being entirely of monofilaments.
