Publication number: 20140192517Abstract: An adjustable belt worn around the waist of a person with a light attached to the front of the belt. The belt is made of webbing material and has a plastic side-release buckle adjustable on one side. The light is a light-emitting diode (LED) lamp. By pushing a single-button the user can easily select between various lighting modes. The lamp tilts up and down and is powered by batteries contained within the lamp. One embodiment of the belt with light has a minimum of two metal snaps, one on each side of the lamp. The snaps are to attach accessories to the belt such as a whistle, keychain, pouch, and/or small bag. The purpose of the belt with light is to provide bright hands-free illumination for any situation where this is needed or preferred, such as emergencies, dog walking, running, hiking, camping, and household chores.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 7, 2013Publication date: July 10, 2014Inventor: Sonia Angelica Alvarado

Patent number: 7374570Abstract: A polymer composition for use in forming a stent is described. The composition includes a monomer of an aliphatic ester of acrylic acid which has a glass transition temperature less than 25° C. and a second monomer that copolymerizes with the first monomer and which has a glass transition temperature greater than 25° C. The components in the composition are mixed in amounts suitable to give a copolymer having a glass transition temperature less than 25° C., or in case of block copolymers, having at least one glass transition temperature less than 25° C. A stent including polymer members formed from the described composition is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2006Date of Patent: May 20, 2008Assignee: Quanam Medical CorporationInventors: Angelica Alvarado, Robert Eury, Irina D. Publication number: 20060246210Abstract: A stent, having openings, is mounted onto a mandrel. An agent-containing film is applied onto the stent and the two are pressed against one another so that at least a portion of the film is pressed at least partially into the openings. The film is adhered to the stent. Any excess film is removed to create a stent/film combination which is removed from the mandrel and enclosed within a sleeve of porous material to create a covered agent-eluting stent.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2005Publication date: November 2, 2006Applicant: VASCULAR ARCHITECTS INC., a Delaware CorporationInventors: Kobi Iki, Marshall Tsuruda, Teodoro Tecson, Angelica Alvarado, Jasbir Badesha
