  • Patent number: 5390973
Abstract: A sun visor is pivotally coupled to a pair of pivot control devices which are mounted above an automobile's side windows. The pivot control devices are located on either horizontal end of a component such as an assist handle assembly and the sun visor can be pivotally moved around this component. Each of the pivot control devices are comprised of a base, a leaf spring and an aesthetic cap such that the leaf spring can apply compressive force against each of a pair of pivot arms extending from the sun visor blade. This provides for detent actions coinciding with the stowed position of the sun visor against the headliner's inside surface and a functional position when the sun visor is rotated downward, parallel to the window.

  • Patent number: 4881774
Abstract: A vehicle seat track assembly for allowing a seat to be selectively moved rearwardly and forwardly. The seat track assembly allows the vehicle seat to be secured at a desired selected position. The seat track assembly further allows the seat to be moved forwardly to provide access to the area behind the seat. When the seat is moved forwardly, the seat track assembly has a memory that will remain in place and stop the seat upon its return to the selected position.

  • Patent number: 4235375
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuated fuel injection valve and its utilization in a dual plane, single point fuel injection system are disclosed. The single point injection system includes a throttle body having an air induction bore controlled by a throttle assembly for each plane of the internal combustion engine manifold. An integrally formed fuel injector jacket mounts an injector valve above the throttle blade and concentrically with each bore of the throttle body without a hard fuel connection to the valve. The injection valve includes a movable valve needle attached to the armature of an electromagnetic solenoid. The needle seats between an inlet orifice and a metering orifice of a valve housing which is inserted into the accumulation chamber defined by the inner wall of the injector jacket. A flexible or soft connection is maintained between the valve housing and injector jacket to seal the accumulator chamber and to provide for quickly mounting or removing the valve from the system.

  • Patent number: 4212277
Abstract: An economy throttle body for a single point fuel injection system is disclosed. The throttle body is formed from two integrally molded throttle body members. An upper member contains provision for the mounting two electronic solenoid injectors and an arrangement of fuel control passages while a lower throttle body member is utilized to mount the throttle body onto an engine manifold and contains the air induction bores and throttle assemblies of the system. Hot fuel handling capability is provided by a heat resistant thermal isolation seal separating the upper and lower throttle body members. Upwardly canted fuel delivery passages further enhance the hot fuel handling capability of the upper throttle body member.
