  • Patent number: 11992316
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to a method and system for assessment of sustained visual attention of a target. The conventional methods utilize various markers for assessment of attention, however, blink rate variability (BRV) series signal is not explored yet. In an embodiment, the disclosed method utilizes BRV series signal for assessing sustained visual attention of a target. A gaze data of the target is recorded using an eye tracker and a set of uniformly sampled BRV series signal is reconstructed from each of the BRV series. One or more frequency domain features, including pareto frequency, are extracted from the set of uniformly sampled BRV series signal. The values of frequency domain features extracted from the set of BRV series signals are compared with corresponding threshold values to determine visual sustained attention of the target.

  • Publication number: 20240160415
Abstract: Systems, devices, computer-implemented methods, and tangible non-transitory computer-readable media that facilitate intelligent and dynamic updates to membership of group object(s) based on a change to an attribute value with respect to an entity associated with the group object(s). In an embodiment, a computing system can: create a first group object using an attribute value that can at least partly define membership of group member(s) of the first group object; generate a dependency mapping file that maps the attribute value to second group object(s) created using the attribute value; employ the dependency mapping file to identify the second group object(s) upon detection of a change to the attribute value with respect to an entity associated with the first group object and the second group object(s); and/or update membership of the first group object and the second group object(s) to reflect the change to the attribute value with respect to the entity.

  • Publication number: 20240151690
Abstract: In industrial inspection scenarios, early detection of machine malfunction is extremely essential as it helps in preventing any significant damage and the associated economic losses. Embodiments herein provide a method and system for an acoustic based anomaly detection in industrial machines using a beamforming and a sequential transform learning. Herein, the system employs two-stage multi-channel source separation technique that uses the well-known delay and sum beamforming followed by a recent data-driven sequential transform learning (STL) approach to obtain clean sources. The STL is a solution to linear state-space model where operators/matrices are learnt from data and is used here to model the dynamics of time-varying source signals for source separation. Subsequently, a reference template matching is employed on each separated source to detect an anomaly.

  • Patent number: 9642815
Abstract: In this work we have targeted two aspects of GQDs, Size and ROS to reduce their cytotoxicity. Small size can damage cell organelles and production of ROS (reactive oxygen species) can hamper cell machinery in multiple ways. We have shown that cytotoxicity can be significantly reduced by embedding GQDs inside the PEG matrix rather than creating a thin shell around each GQD. Thin PEG shell around GQD can control ROS production but cannot circumvent the toxicity due to small size. Thus it was essential to solve both the issues. We have used a simple electrochemical method (12 h at room temperature) for synthesizing GQDs and embedded them in PEG matrix via a simple one step hydrothermal reaction (24 h at 160° C.) involving only GQDs, PEG, and deionized water. The P-GQDs formed after hydrothermal reaction show nanoparticles of diameter of ˜80-100 nm containing GQDs entrapped in PEG matrix. MTT assay showed significant 60% cells viability at a very high concentration of 5.

  • Patent number: 8538232
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for managing video data. In overview, various embodiments provide software, hardware and methodologies associated with the management of video data. In overview, a video management system (such as a surveillance system) includes a plurality of camera servers, each of which being configured to make available stored video data for one or more assigned cameras. A given one of the cameras is reassigned from a first one of the camera servers to a second one of the camera servers. The system is configured such that, in the event that a client places a request for video data from that camera for a time period overlapping with the reassignment, the client is provided with a playback stream that seamlessly traverses the reassignment.
