    Abstract: Systems and methods for processing a plastic are disclosed. The system includes a feeding device in fluid communication with a cracking unit. A feed stream comprising a plastic is depolymerized in the feeding device at a depolymerization temperature to produce a hydrocarbonaceous wax stream. The hydrocarbonaceous wax stream is then cracked in the cracking unit. The cracking is conducted at a cracking temperature that is lower than, or the same as the depolymerization temperature.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a reforming catalyst composition comprising a spherical gamma AI2O3 support; at least one Group VB metal oxide sheet coated on to the AI2O3 support; and at least one active metal and at least one promoter metal impregnated on the AI2O3 coated support. The reforming catalyst composition of the present disclosure has improved activity, better selectivity for total aromatics during naphtha reforming and results in less coke formation. The reforming catalyst composition has improved catalyst performance with simultaneous modification of acidic sites as well as metallic sites through metal support interaction. The acid site cracking activity of the catalyst is inhibited because of the use of chloride free alumina support modified with solid acid such as Group VB metal oxide and impregnated with active metals.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a composition, wherein the composition is a catalyst comprising support matrix, active metal, promoter metal and halide, wherein the support matrix is additionally subjected to a modifier to obtain a modified support matrix. The catalyst in the reaction reduces the percentage coke formation and provides for an enhanced reformate yield having an increase total aromatic yield and C8 aromatic yield when compared to the known/commercially available catalyst for naphtha reforming process, and also improves the quality of reformate obtained at end of the reaction. The disclosure further relates to process of preparation of the catalyst, the catalyst of the present disclosure derived from the process described, displays lower deactivation during the reaction demonstrating increased stability and reduction in the regeneration frequency and thereby making the catalyst economically feasible.
