  • Publication number: 20240103980
Abstract: Embodiments for creating transactional consistent snapshot copies of SQL server containers in a Kubernetes system for copy reuse on different clusters to facilitate processing local snapshots for secondary workloads without impacting production quality of service. A copy data management (CDM) tool acts as an orchestrator, while a backup toolkit is deployed in the namespace of the production cluster containers. A container storage interface (CSI) plugin supplies persistent storage to the containers. Before taking a copy, the process posts the toolkit in the container and a quiesce/unquiesce operation is then performed. The databases are first quiesced, the snapshot copy is taken, and then the databases are unquiesced. The toolkit is then removed, thus producing a transactional consistent backup in a different namespace.

  • Patent number: 11922029
Abstract: A system includes a memory device including multiple memory cells and a processing device operatively coupled to the memory device. The processing device is to receive a first read command at a first time. The first read command is with respect to a set of memory cells of the memory device. The processing device is further to receive a second read command at a second time. The second read command is with respect to the set of memory cells of the memory device. The processing device is further to increment a read counter for the memory device by a value reflecting a difference between the first time and the second time. The processing device is further to determine that a value of the read counter satisfies a threshold criterion. The processing device is further to perform a data integrity scan with respect to the set of memory cells.

  • Publication number: 20240071522
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses include receiving a read command including a logical address. The read command is directed to a portion of memory composed of blocks and each block is composed of wordline groups. The physical address for the read command is identified using the logical address. The wordline group is determined using the physical address. A slope factor is retrieved using the wordline group. A read counter is incremented using the slope factor.

  • Publication number: 20230315579
Abstract: A method for data management is described. The method may include generating a first snapshot of a first state of a data object, generating, using metadata associated with the first snapshot of the first state, a first hash value, and storing the first hash value to a blockchain. If the data object or device or system supporting the data object fails, then a failover procedure may be used to recover the data object. The method may include receiving an instruction to recover the first state of the data object using the first snapshot, retrieving the first hash value from the blockchain, comparing the first hash value retrieved from the blockchain to a second hash value of the metadata associated with the first snapshot, and determining, based at least in part on a result of the comparing, whether the first snapshot stored in the data management system is unmodified.

  • Publication number: 20230297550
Abstract: Embodiments describe approaches to creating dynamic data views of a data set. A dynamic data views (also referred to as logical data models or logical conveyances) allows users to visualize data or otherwise interact with data from a plurality of data resources (also referred to as physical data or source data) from various datastores across a domain (e.g., an enterprise, a unit within the enterprise, a company, etc.) Multiple dynamic data views can be derived from the same set of physical data and customized to meet the specific needs of different users, without altering the source data or changing its format or storage location. These data views can be generated, stored, and accessed on demand, and may be provided by various vendors. They may be shared, purchased, rented, or otherwise obtained, and may be based on one or more metrics that can be updated as necessary.

  • Publication number: 20220343302
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to electronic transactions, and more specifically, to perform inter wallet transactions. A directory server may act as a network between a plurality of wallets. In some non-limiting embodiments or aspects, the directory server receives a request message from a first wallet server for initiating a transaction from a first wallet user to a second wallet user associated with a second wallet server. In some non-limiting embodiments or aspects, the directory server sends one or more details among a plurality of details associated with the second wallet server and the second wallet user to the first wallet server in response to the request message.

  • Publication number: 20220232586
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a method of reducing SR max retransmissions in a communication network is disclosed. The method includes: accessing an SR max retransmission UE pool stored in a storage of the base station, the SR max retransmission UE pool being a list of plurality of UEs which experienced SR max retransmission. The method further includes identifying at least one UE in the SR max retransmission pool that would enter an SR max retransmission state, based on a last PUSCH uplink time period and a SR max retransmission time period associated with the at least one UE. Further, the method includes allocating a dummy UL grant to the identified at least one UE.

  • Patent number: 9497268
Abstract: Method and device for data transmissions using RDMA. The present invention is implemented between a first entity using a first data structure type and a second entity using a second data structure type over a third entity. The third entity is coupled to a table caching fingerprints of first data structures of the first data structure type and second data structures of the second data structure type associated therewith. A certain first data structure and the second data structure associated therewith represent a certain, identical RDMA function call. A first data structure representing a certain RDMA function call is sent from the first entity to the third entity; the fingerprint for the sent first data structure is determined; a second data structure associated with the determined fingerprint is looked up in the table; and the looked up second data structure is sent to the second entity.

  • Patent number: 8909727
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and article of manufacture for data communication between a requester and a responder in a remote direct memory access (RDMA) network, where each of the requester and the responder is an RDMA-enabled host of the network. The method includes: sending a request for the responder to provide data, where the request includes a mapped steering tag that is obtained by mapping a set of memory buffers of the requester onto a single representation that allows for identifying each of the memory buffers of the set; and receiving the requested data together with the mapped steering tag and assigning the data being received to the memory buffers of the set consistently with the mapping.

  • Publication number: 20080091620
Abstract: A method for estimating the relative impact of two or more patent portfolios belonging to one or more companies is disclosed. Each patent of a patent portfolio is categorized into at least one market segment. A Technological Strength Index (TSI) is computed for each patent based on patent citations. An Economic Impact Index (EII) value is computed for each market segment based on the market size and market growth rate of the market segment, and the market share of the company in each market segment. A Company Innovation Efficiency Index (CIEI) value is computed for the patent portfolio based on the R&D expenditure of the company and the number of patents granted to the company. TSI and EII values of patents in a patent portfolio, and the CIEI value of the patent portfolio are used to compute an Overall Index for the patent portfolio. A similar exercise is carried out for all the portfolios being analyzed. The Overall Index provides a relative measure of the impact of the patent portfolios.
