  • Patent number: 11467616
Abstract: A method for controlling an energy generation and storage system using a multi-layer architecture is provided. The method includes determining, by one or more control devices, a power or energy generation for the energy generation and storage system at a first layer of the multi-layer architecture. The method includes determining, by the one or more control devices, a power or energy set point for the system at a second layer of the multi-layer architecture. The method includes controlling, by the one or more control devices, the energy generation and storage system based, at least in part, on the power or energy setpoint.

  • Publication number: 20210176520
Abstract: Systems and methods for media storage and retrieval. In one embodiment, a system may include a controller to receive first commands from a remote control, transmit second commands to a mass storage device, receive first signals corresponding to data from the mass storage device, and transmit second signals corresponding to the first signals to a display device or audio device configured to receive the second signals and reproduce the data for observation by a user. The mass storage device may include a mechanism to store, retrieve, and play one or more discs containing the data, and it may be configured to transmit the data to the controller using the first signals. Methods for media storage and retrieval are also disclosed herein.

  • Patent number: 10697432
Abstract: A method for operating at least one energy storage device of a renewable energy facility connected to a power grid in multiple operational modes includes providing an operational threshold for the renewable energy facility. Further, the method includes comparing an operational parameter of the renewable energy facility with respect to the operational threshold. The method also includes controlling the renewable energy facility based on the comparison. As such, when the operational parameter is below the operational threshold, the controller communicates to the energy storage device(s) to increase its state of charge (SOC) in anticipation of the renewable energy facility transitioning from producing power to consuming power.

  • Patent number: 5949869
Abstract: A call referral system (10) for use in a telecommunications network (12) that permits a called party (16) to control the number and treatment of incoming calls. The call referral system includes a switch (34) for receiving calls from calling parties(14) and for connecting the calls to the called party. The call referral system includes a routing monitor computer (40) coupled with the switch for monitoring the connection of the calls to the called party. The monitoring computer receives and stores a gate size selected by the called party indicating the maximum number of calls the called party wishes to simultaneously handle through each of its gates. The gates are comprised of single destination telephone numbers or groups of destination telephone numbers to the various destinations (17 & 18, 32).

  • Patent number: 5734709
Abstract: In a telecommunications network operable for routing calls such as 800 calls, to a plurality of customer destinations, a system allows the customer to configure the routing of calls by entering selected call routing criteria such as a call-routing map associated with a time frame for implementation thereof included as part of an overall routing plan. The routing map includes the desired allocation of calls placed from a customer defined origination region to selected ones of the customer's call receiving destinations. Using the customer supplied criteria, the system then composes a set of call-handling statements, also called time features, which the network then compiles into an executable routing scheme for translating the dialed number into the physical number associated with the selected customer destination.
