    Abstract: A bed toy has doll body that contains a device for indicating when a child should stay in bed or may get up. One or more lights are attached to the doll body and are exteriorly visible. A wireless communication interface contained in the doll body to wirelessly link to a personal access network. An application is executed by a remote user device to transmit one of a time setting, a wake-up time, a light enablement command, over the personal access network to the wireless communication interface. A light driver selectively illuminates the lights to produce change of illumination. A utility executed by a processor determines that a timing event has occurred based upon the time setting and the current time and commands a light driver to change illumination selected from one of no light, a first color and a second color in response to the timing event.
